@zumbaista:  I think part of the problem with Moffat and passing the Bechdel test is that he is so very Doctor-centric. We don’t see a lot of what’s going on outside of what the Doctor is doing and some of the episodes focus exclusively on the Doctorand his companions which is very much a Moffat thing. There re fewer non-Doctor/companion charcters in general, so there are obviously going to be fewer female characters. I think that’s one of Moffat’s major failings as a writer, and I think it’s also a part of why a lot of people find Matt less Doctor-y than 9 and 10–the Doctor doesn’t meet as many aliens as he used to.

I also disagree with some of her scoring, but I won’t get into that.

@Misswhowedding:  I’m a lifelong Dr Who fan. Matt Smith always seemed implausible to me. It always seemed as though he was acting the part. Which, of course, he was. But you don’t want it to seem as though he is.

The whole River Song story line just became confusing. And they got married and then… nothing else.

Any of you that have yet to watch Torchwood… don’t wait any longer. It’s a brilliant series.

@AutumnRose781:  Torchwood is awesome! More Captian Jack, so if you love him like I do then you will be happy! Plus its kind of like a darker version of the Who-niverve.

I love both Doctor Who and Torchwood! I’m still trying to forgive Frobisher for what happened in Children of Earth. I still get choked up thinking about it, but I think Capaldi will be great as the new Doctor. I used to love Tennant, until I found out how much of a fanbase he had. I love Eccleston and Smith equally to be honest. I love the fact that Smith (despite playing an ancient character) still brings an element of childishness to the part that makes it lighthearted and fun. I miss Matt Smith terribly already! I do like the older generation, but the new one is my favourite, definitely. Favourite companions in order:

Amy
Clara
Donna
Rose
Martha

I absolutely adore River Song, too.

Matt Smith is my doctor, although the first episodes I ever saw were Tennant. I really love Eccleston too though and I feel like he is sometimes underappreciated. I have never liked River Song, even though most people seem to love her, and like somebody else mentioned her story should have ended in the library. As far as companions…I am weird because I just really never cared for Donna Noble. She annoys me. I really loved Amy as a companion, although she comes off as very ditzy in most interviews. Clara surprised me though because I didn’t think I would like her and now I think she might be my favorite.

@kkkatieB12:  But her story did end in the library. Well, technically it did. The Doctor’s timestream moved forwards, where hers met backwards. If you noticed in the show every so often they would pull out TARDIS blue diaries and cross-check where they are. River technically died in the library, we just saw her going back from an adult to a child as the show progressed.

@AutumnRose781:  I didn’t like her at first but now I have an (un)healthy obsession with her 😉

@tiffanyscanlan:  I guess I should have specified that in spite of the opposing timestreams, she just annoys me for some reason and I would have preferred not to see her in the show after the library episode. I felt like they tried to do too much with her character and it just got more and more complicated and confusing…I would have liked to keep the River Song/Doctor connection more of a mystery. But I know a lot of people love her!

@kkkatieB12: That’s fair enough. We all have that one character we don’t really like for some reason. Mine’s Martha, haha.

baileyjosephine:  Mine’s Eccelston too! I find he is overlooked with Tennant and Smith. Tennant was ok for the first bit and then he got weird. Smith was ok but I wasn’t a huge fan of Amy and I felt you really couldn’t have one without the other.

Shout out to Donna, I loved that the Doctor had a companion that didn’t love him and just wanted to be friends. I really liked that dynamic.

And so far I like Peter – I may even learn how to spell his last name!
