Well, you can definitely read up on Mrs. Quiche’s blogs, as she was married in Jamaica – she probably has a ton of information that could be helpful!

Hey!  I was married in Jamaica in May – it was great!  Like amanda.lynn said, you can go through my posts (and Mrs. Lovebird who was married in Cancun, Mrs. Sea Breeze in DR).  I highly recommend Jamaica!  Smile  Our resort was fantastic & our wedding day really was perfect.

I’m getting married in the Bahamas–February 2010.  We just found that overall, it would be the most inexpensive place in the carribean for all of our guests could get to.  If you decide on this location and need some ideas for vendors, let me know!

I was just married in the Bahamas in January of this year.  Not sure what your budget is – but if we ever go back, we will stay at the Atlantis – no question!  If you can swing it, it is leaps and bounds better than any other local in Nassau/Paradise Island.  Sandals would be the #2, but by a stretch, we chose Breezes to save a few dollars (shouldn’t have).  We chose the Bahamas because we hadn’t been there before, and probably won’t go back.  It wasn’t bad, other locals are just much better.  We didn’t really find a lot of nightlife, or things to do/tourist hotspots.  If you want a quiet local it may be for you – but for us Jamaica and Mexico were much better destinations and vacation options.  Good luck.

PS. We chose New Years because one thing the Bahamas does offer is Junckanoo – a crazy all night parade with colorful costumes and music that were out of this world.
