Hey Im from Ireland and I have just gotten my forever one moissy from moissaniteco. 8mm solitaire low set basket rose gold with rose gold prongs. Size 5 finger. What I will say… it’s so white and sparkly, however in direct sunlight with blue skies, it’s does give off a blue hue and shoots out rainbow colours which in my opinion differentiates it from a diamond. I’m really happy with moissanite but my group of friends can be judgemental so I haven’t said it’s not a diamond (I know I know!) But I’ve looked at their diamond rings in sunlight and it does differ greatly in my opinion in that type of lighting. Good thing ireland is usually overcast lol.
Here are some pics in different lighting!

this was one of my concerns! I wanted 1ct. I was worried how it would look against a diamond. I want the look without our ridiculous price tags as this is my second engagement ring. (Dont Ask. Long story) Its making me wonder should i go for the forever brilliant stone. Slightly more yellow.. not as much rainbow hmm. Can i ask how was the duty and taxes from moissaniteCo??

What they actually do at MoissaniteCo is package it up in a Fedex Pak with a value of $100 on the item so it goes through customs aa costume jewelery without being checked so I’ve heard. That’s why you don’t get charges customs tax and duty. However I guess it means that if fedex lose the order (I’m sure it’s rare) then you will only be insured for 100$. I actually sent mine back for sizing etc and it came back through customs again no problem. In terms of it beside a diamond… I was at a wedding at the weekend and it was sunny and all my friends were congratulating me and nobody was any the wiser. I think that because mine is a 2 carat size that the rainbow is more obvious. Youd probably be ok with 1 carat though! I’m the same… could not fathom spending so much money on a rock that’s overpriced by the people who control the industry!!!

Hey, I got mine from Amora-gems.com. They are the official European company for Amora gems. Lovely to work with and custom made my setting as well as helping me get the Amora I wanted.
Shes a 1.5ct, F coloured vs1 Amora gem and all of it came to £1k. If your after a 1ct it will mostly likely be siginificantly cheaper than this, they’re good at sorting you a deal out. Also it’s a beautiful stone.
Sadly at the moment its low in stock because they sold their old stock to make room for the new cut Amoras that are coming. I would email them so they would be able to tell you an estimate time frame.
If it was me choosing I would wait for the Amora but that’s just my taste. I think it’s a beautiful stone and it was cheaper than ordering moissanite from America. If you want to still get moissanite from America I would recommend you Google a duty calculator to give you an estimate idea. Last time I checked the import alone is 20% and you’ll then have to add another 3% for duties and sometimes you have to add a sales tax apparently too in some cases.
