What do I get my FI’s married parents? What do I get my divorced parents?
I looked through some past posts and didn’t get much from them. Thought since a lot of them were posted a while ago that maybe there would be some fresh ideas out there.
I think our budget for each parent is probably between $50 – $75 each.

Glad you asked this question. I have been struggling with this as well. I have no idea what to get them!

What about a personalized gift that you can find on etsy? They have some pretty unique and personal things that aren’t generic. I’ve been looking myself as well and have narrowed down some choices.

We have been talking about this (we have 2 years) and haven’t reached any conclusions, but some things we’ve discussed are:
-Frame w/ a photo of me with my dad when I was young and a space for a photo of us at the wedding
-Photo album of wedding pictures
-Anything that any of your parents collect- my mom and my step-mom both have different kinds of figurines they collect
-Anything engraved with a short and sweet message- a jewelry box, money clip, etc.
-Gift cards to a nice restaurant

In addition to the traditional photo album to my parents, we gave them a gift card to http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/ to use when they want, where they want. We gave them $300 worth so it would be enough to pay for 2 nights (depending where) or most of a 2 night stay

I saw someone post pictures of their parents’ gifts and they were personalized handkerchiefs. They were so touching it made me tear up! I also like the idea of a pic of you with them when you were little, and a slot for a wedding photo.

we are doing destination wedding in FI’s hometown so I booked my parents a segway tour with Fi’s stepdad who lives there (and has talked about the dang tour nonstop since he went on it a year ago…)
I also booked them a dinner & dancing harbor cruise so they can have some alone time before the wedding. Not sure what we will be doing for Fi’s other 4 parents but will probably be along the same lines.
