I am wearing an all lace strapless tea length dress and it has a lil lace bolero jacket. I found it at David’s bridal but it was $500 and more than I was willing to spend so I searched and searched and searched some more and came accross the same one on IYOK.net and sent in my measurements and had it custom made and delivered for about 220. I will add a picture as soon as I can!

Hey

This is my dress and it might make you very happy….

DaVinci 8357

http://www.plussizebridal.com/BridalGowns/8357QDVIN.asp

It looks very much like the Delphine and it is available up to a size 30!! You could always change out the ribbon color. It is a knock off of Maggie Sottero Harlow.

I am wearing Alfred Angelo 801.  It was the most flattering of all the dresses I tried on.

My gown is all lace: Allure 8850. I LOVE it!! It’s a full A-line ballgown, unusual for an all lace dress. Almost all the other lace dresses I found were trumpet/mermaid or slim A-lines, which were not very flattering on me. Here’s a front and back view:

I tried an all lace dress but went with a different option.  This one was a maggie sottero – Karena Royale I think

One point – I didn’t think I would want a trumpet dress and I’m still not sure my dress was technically a trumpet, but it was fitted through the hip.  I was shocked, but that style was far more flattering on me than A-line dresses.  If you have a nice waist, you may be surprised about how good a trumpet dress looks. I’ve put a picture of my dress here.  I got it at David’s Bridal, but it was discontinued when I bought it (total God thing that the sample was my size and was the only way to have the dress anymore) but I bet they have something similar. The jacket was also from David’s Bridal.  Just a note, I got a medium and I’m a size 18/20.  If you don’t want the jacket to overwhelm your dress, I suggest ordering a size or two smaller than you think you’ll need.

I’m all lace. Street size 12/14, wedding dress size 18.

To the OP, most designers have dresses available for order up to size 24 or 26. Now, you won’t be able to try it on in that size, but when I was 50 lbs heavier and getting married the first time, I was able to get into most of the sample size dresses (at a 12, which is like a street size 8) even though I had to order a 22 as long as the dress was a ballgown or A-Line.
