OMG, I am not helpful at all, but I just want to say that if I lived in RI I would totally get married at the Narragansett Towers. My family vacations near there every year and the Towers are so freakin’ gorgeous! I’m jealous. πŸ™‚

Hey Ladies!

We are getting married next year on May 27 2012 with a ceremony at South Ferry Church and reception at the Towers!

And…we’re planning this from 3,000 miles away and haven’t seen either one in person yet (eeeeek)!  Thank goodness for the internet and supportive family who went to visit and sent us pictures, asked questions for us.  We knew it would be booked if we waited until a previously planned trip home in October for my fiance’s sister’s wedding.

Can’t wait to see everything in person and share ideas/thoughts on here!

@Melie12:  Thanks for offering to pass along your South Ferry pics!  I have a few from inside but most are from other people’s wedding albums after searching photogs and the outdated ones from their website (where the pews are still that weird brown color, haha).  I am always grateful for any and all pics being from so far away!  You can email me at [email protected].  We can not wait to finally see it in person and after finding it we just can’t imagine our ceremony being anywhere else.  Have you booked any of your vendors yet?  We’re using Susan Sancomb for photography, West Bay Gourmet for catering, and Moondance for our DJ.  Glad to have found some fellow future ‘Gansett Bees on here : )

July 13, 2012 at the Towers! My only complaint is all the strange rules and unwritten rules. Oh, and although Kate is super nice, she takes forever to get back to me, or sometimes doesn’t at all! πŸ™

It really is so much more beautiful in person than ANY pics I have found online! Our wedding is a vintage RI/Rocky Point/carnival themed affair, and the Towers is perfect for that! Out ceremony will be right across the street at the town gazebo!

@Melie12: Kate told us we could use a popcorn machine in the venue, and that we could use the patio area outside for our cocktail hour. This was when we went to look at the towers the first time. we booked the venue after carefully reading the packet of info… right then we noticed that the prices she told us and the prices in the packet were different. also, within the packet there are different figures listed for deposits in deifferent places in the packet. So, its booked since April, and now we find out, only because someone mentioned it to us at a restaurant, so we asked kate about it, that there is anadditionla fee of $225 for the patio hour… which makes no sense as it is a public space. Why can’t my guests hang out there? WTF, so we cancelled the cocktail hour and rearranged some things. THEN, after i get all these cute little popcorn boxes to use as escort cards filled with popcorn, she tells us (only after my caterer called kate to find out) that we CAN’T use a popcorn machine in the lobby, only on the third floor! So now i have to rearrange the whole floor plan to allow for the escort table to be upstairs! GGGrrrrrr…. πŸ™‚
