@Melie12: OOOOOh! I’m getting married there a little over a week after you!
@Ms Rocky Point:
and I’m the day after you!
I’m really excited! I haven’t gotten to do a walk through really yet. But it’s a really important place to my Fiance and I. We first held hands on the beach near the Towers, shared our first kiss, first exchanged “I love you”s, and he proposed on the beach!
We’re doing a peacock themed wedding with a vintage romantic feel to it. I plan on making almost all of my decorations and am super excited that the christmas lights will be there creating a beautiful glow.
Yeah same—Kate is really sweet, but slow to return emails.
Fiance and I are more than excited for our wedding on July 14, 2012! Looking forward to some more advice from venue twins!

Oh! Forgot to add:
We are having the ceremony and the reception at the Towers. Any other bees do the same? I’d love to hear advice! 🙂

@Ms Rocky Point: Oh, what a headache! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 Sometimes I worry about these sort of surprises from what I’ve read here and there. I can’t say anything bad from my own experience..yet. And yes that additonal fee make me scratch my head. The last time I was eating near there, I noticed there was a wedding taking place (inside) and there were a bunch of random people relaxing at the patio steps not that I blame them since it is a beautiful spot. It’s like establishments see the word wedding and immediately there are usage fees for lots of things. It is frustrating.

@micahg: Your theme sounds really cool and I’m sure it will be gorgeous! And yes, I agree the lights inside the towers are absolutely beautiful!! It wasn’t hard to set up a time to see the Towers with Kate. I enlisted the help of my caterer to get her cell and from then on, things moved much faster. So I’m sure you’ll have no problems with waiting time to schedule a walk through. I would also love to check it out again since it’s such a beautiful spot. 🙂
ps It’s so great to see so many venue twins!!!

I just found this post and am very interested to hear how all of your weddings went at the Towers! I have been trying to get in touch with someone there to discuss my wedding (looking for May/June 2013) but haven’t had any luck.
I am curious what the rental costs are so I know if I should keep trying or not. Also, the site states that it can accomodate 180 people – is that true? I have seen various photography blogs and it looks kinda small. We think we will come in around 150-170 so this is important.
Thanks for any/all tips and advice!

We are having our ceremoney at south feryy church and our reception at the towers on 10/7/12. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of how they decorated at the towers, especially the little lobby downstairs. I have heard that most people put their escort cards down there but i wasnt really sure how people set that up? Do people just put them on the glass case?

I am new to the board and getting married at the Towers on 9-15-13. Starting to sort through some posts to get advice, but looking for some vendor recommendations that work well with the venue. We are using Azure for photography and have met with Chelos and Prazni. Liked both, hoping to get a caterer that’s also more of a planner as the venue is bare bones. One question I do have is where did all the past/future brides get ready for an on site ceremony? Trying to figure out if we should get a house (all seem to be weekly rentals) or if I can get ready in the bridal suite (I will have my hair person coming to me, so that may not work?) Any advice and vendor recommendations appreciated! Thanks!

I’m not a Towers Bride but we are using Russell Morin for our Caterer. I choose them because they help with everything and act as our day of coordinator. They created a floor plan. Told me what I needed for Rentals. They will but out my decorations. I am getting my cake from them but there is no cake cutting fee if I don’t. We are doing a cocktail reception with food stations and small pasted plates. We did our tasting a few weeks ago and I am really excited about the food!

@robynrr: Village Inn has a very nice king suite, large enough for your bridal party to get ready, its a 2 night min. I rented a room at the Towerhouse B&B and you can rent the dining room & solarium for $200 for you and your girls to primp, eat & drink. If you dont rent the entire B&B you have to wait until 11am to rent it!
