I’m in! Would anyone be up for booking a Loblaws cooking class or something like that? Their teachers are great and the classes are typically about $30. You get a lesson (not hands on) and dinner 🙂 I can ask about booking the space for a bit longer so we can have some time to chat.

I’m in! The cooking class sounds like a good idea.

ohhh, I’m in… it would be nice to meet up with other brides and chat… Just let me know when it’s for and where and hopefully I can make there, I’m apologizing in advance in case I can’t go cuz of my cake business, been pretty busy lately. But if I don’t have an order, and I’m free I’ll be there for sure!

I would love to be! But it would depend on the date.. I’ve tried to make it to like, the last two and missed both 🙁

Let me know!

Okay, so for cooking classes I think we have a couple of locations as options, I’m just not sure what would work best for everyone in terms of accessibility:

  • Loblaws @ Lower Jarvis – TTC accessible, right at the bottom of Jarvis at Queen’s Quay. I’ve never been to a class here so I can’t attest to their teachers though.
  • Loblaws @ Burnhamthorpe Market, Etobicoke –  Burnhamthorpe & East Mall. TTC/transit – I think you’d have to research, but I think it’s subway plus a bus ride. This is where I usually go and love their teachers.
  • Loblaws @ Bayview Village – TTC Bayview Station, north end of Toronto. Haven’t been here either!

Does anyone have any preferences for time/date/location? Any food allergies or intolerances we should know about prior to making inquiries and bookings?

Loblaws @ Burnhamthorpe Market, Etobicoke –  Burnhamthorpe & East Mall. TTC/transit – I think you’d have to research, but I think it’s subway plus a bus ride. This is where I usually go and love their teachers <– there is a bus that goes from Islington station along Burnhamthorpe (No.50 I believe, to Mill Rd.) and I believe another from Kipling.

That location is the closest to me since I’m in the west end but whatever works for the majority works for me!

As for times, I have a pretty open/flexible schedule. Does anyone have days/evenings that absolutely not going to work for them?

I’m thinking that by the time we get a concensus from our GTA bees, decide on a date, and book a space we’re looking at about 3-4 weeks from now. That okay with you girls?

Hey,

I am good for the one on Burnanthorpe, I can get there very easily from Square One. Once you ladies figure out times and dates, let me know.

So it looks like the Burnhamthorpe location might be best?

Maybe the week after Canada day, sometime mid week?

Hey GTA bees! I can’t make this meet up that you are planning, but I am moving to Toronto mid-July and would LOVE to go to a meetup sometime!!  silly me just posted this over in the beehive section, then I thought to check the TO board!

@bakerella: btw, i would always be interested in a cooking class – i actually wrote in my wedding vows that i need to learn how to cook!
