Personally, I like option 1 just because I feel like asking someone to pay $60 is a lot. A lot of the time in the classes they ask someone to come up and help anyways, so there’s a good chance one of us will get some hands on time anyways ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Ivanna: Who’s actually from Montreal? I have dozens of questions about locations and vendors…    I am from Montreal, but did not plan my wedding there, so i also don;t know how much help I can be. My sister did plan hers in montreal several years ago, so at the most I could find out her photographer and recommend them as they were pretty awesome! Lifetime Photos I think they were called!

@bakerella: i am totally fine with option 1! cheaper is what i need. this is actually more expensive than i thought it would be, lol. but i think that’s because i didn’t really think about the cost at all!!! But i am still in for sure. I know a couple of people in TO, but doubt I can coordinate them for this.  So just count me in as one.

And ya, if we reallt can’t get 12 people, then i am still up for any kind of meetup, tapas, frozen food, whatever!

I am good with option 1. In the case that we can’t get 12 people for sure I’m also good with tapas and drinks elsewhere!

Ok the frozen food isle is starting to sound very yummy lol…

If we can’t have the 12ppl, I’m also good for some tapas and drinks, I would try and recruit ppl but I’m the only one getting married soon… my other friends are not even thinking about it…

@dynamic_duo: Thanks for the photographer suggestion – but I have a great one booked already!

Anyone know a good florist in Montreal? …or should I say an inexpensive florist?

Also, anyone know a good restuarant in Old Montreal for a casual family lunch after the ceremony? We have a couple hours between the ceremony and the reception and we thought it would be a great idea to have a lunch with the families and wedding party and take pictures with everyone. Le Jardin Nelson was a perfect choice for its picturesqueness but they don’t take reservations. ๐Ÿ™

Hello ladies

I think right now they’re all a little bit pricey for me as the wedding was only two weeks ago, really sorry and hope it doesn’t cause problems with numbers.

I’m definitely up for the next meet-up though, and hope you all have an amazing time at this one! : )

@worldfairy:That’s fair. I thought of another option and then it fell out of my head. Crap. Let me think of it again. Sorry, my head is so busy these days my great ideas seem to be fleeting. I’ll be back when I sort it out, LOL!

@bakerella: Ooooh I didn’t mean you guys shouldn’t go! The only other thing I could think of is I think Summerlicious is still on then so we could get a three-course meal for $25 somewhere cool – but obviously it doesn’t give the cooking class angle.

Okay, I remembered over the weekend. Sorry, had a lot on my mind, LOL!

Southern Accent, it’s a little restaurant in Kensington Market area (it’s not west, I know). The food is great and for fun, they offer a psychic every night (a friend of a friend saw one of them and said she was scary good, like predicted twins, a girl and a boy when she wasn’t even TTC. A year later, twins, a girl and a boy!!!), $35 for 15 minutes. We’d have to book it in advance with our table though, you definitely can’t decide you want one on the spot. That way if some people just wanted an app and a drink we could do that, or if anyone wanted dinner or to also see the psychic we could do that too!

What do you guys think?

I live in Richmond Hill, so if anyone lives around here i’d be interested in carpooling or subwaying with them. July 27th is actually my birthday, this would be an exciting birthday outting…birthday with the bees ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes let’s do that! Is it too late for you to add one to this thread?
