    @Bunny_the_Bride:  You lucky b*tch ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I’d love to be a housewife. I’d have absolutely no problem having my husband go off to work & I take care of the house & dog.

    Can we switch places for a little bit?!?!

    Me. I have two very active and needy dogs that we got before we got married so they are my babies lol. We have our reasons for why I don’t work, so its not like Dh wants me to get a job and I don’t, but maybe soon! Though we obviously wouldn’t need the extra money , it would be nice splurging money. But meanwhile I just want to paint our apt atm its really ugly colour , I need to make it more us ๐Ÿ™‚

    We are a bit old fashioned but Dh is more respectful which I love. Instead of telling.me to.get him/ making him something he asks nicely ๐Ÿ™‚ . Also he is useless around the home lol. The apt was empty as well as the fridge before I moved in.

    I’d rather my Fiance be a house-husnand! I hate cooking & cleaning and I’d love to come home to that every day.

    @Bunny_the_Bride:  true. and, if you are comfortable with your situation that is all that matters. I am simply saying, that as an adult, the idea of receiving an “allowance” doesn’t sit well with me. For me, the days of getting an allowance ended when I started working as a teenager. I’ll also admit that eventhough we could live quite comfortably off of my FI’s salary, I value the security and the luxuries that 2 incomes affords us.

    @Bunny_the_Bride:  I make soy candles so they’re vegan. I use essential oils to scent them but I prefer making them scentless.

    I have made soap too! So easy.

    Here’s a ring holder I’m working. I started it this a.m. This is after two hours. I still have an hr or two left to smooth it out and tweak a couple things.

    @Bunny_the_Bride:  Wow, I see so many bashing sessions for those who are financially secure. Kudos to you for doing what makes you happy and supporting your family.  Your worth and value has nothing to do with external factors, it comes from within. I find many women jealous and petty with many of their snarky comments towards you.

    @Soladylike:  not sure what thread you are reading…I don’t see anyone being jealous, petty or bashing the OP.

    No way. I worked and supported myself quite nicely before DH was around and see no reason to ditch who I am and have become just because I am now married.

    I’m not a career oriented person myself so I understand not being interested in staying in the work force.  Despite that, I would never feel comfortable completely removing myself from the workforce – I do think I am jaded because I work in social services and have met many women who sacrificed everything to stay at home full-time, only to have their husbands leave them after 20-25 years…leaving them high and dry and unable to find work in their fifties.  I know that is not the outcome of every single SAHW/SAHM situation, though, so if you feel comfortable doing it and you’re happy…that’s awesome!  That’s all that matters.
