All I can say is that I love my Prius! No issues with it in the 5 or so years I’ve had it, and I still cannot believe what others are paying for gas. It’s a money-saver (after it’s bought of course!) In the summer I get around 50 mpg, a bit less in the winter. Good luck!

My Fiance has a Honda CRZ. Beautiful car. You don’t have to change the oil as often. It gets wonderful gas mileage. I get so jealous of him when I complain about filling up my tank and he says he hasn’t done it in weeks!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Prius. It is a 2006 model, and we get 40-45 mpg in the city and can get up to 60 driving on the highway. I also kind of have a lead foot so someone who is a less aggresive driver than I am would get better. I haven’t had any issues with it at all since I’ve had it. Totally worth it to me!
ETA: It is also is super roomy and our hatchback has an incredible trunk!

I love love LOVE our Prius hatchback.

Darling Husband was a little “meh” on it at first, but after a week commuting in it he said it would be really hard to go back to a regular car for day to day. And he LOVES cars! He thought the inside was a great ride and very comfortable too. His co-workers were fans (all men) once they rode it in.

He drives 50 miles every day, and we go out on the weekends, and he only fills up once every two weeks to the tune of $32-$36 on average. It’s awesome.

I had the Camry hybrid. It was okay. I had a couple of issues with it:

1) It had no get up and go. You’d push the gas pedal, it would sort of hmm and haw over it, and then it would decide to accelerate. Granted, it was coming from a pretty sporty Mazda, but still…
2) The hybrid battery was under the rear window, so while the back seats folded down, there was only a teeny tiny pass through area. You could fit a 2×4 through from the trunk and that was about it. It really made me angry. LOL!

I ended up selling it after a couple years to a friend and bought a used Highlander Hybrid. I love it. No. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s great on gas, has a lot of space, and it’s a sexy beast 😉 Lots of oomph and eco-friendly 🙂 I will definitely be keeping that truck until it’s dying breath.

My whole family loves our Toyotas though. My dad’s Corolla has so much mileage on it the odometer stopped working and that car is still going like nobody’s business!

My Fiance has a Honda Civic hybrid and we LOVE it! He drives about 40 miles to work everyday in terrible stop-and-go Chicago traffic. He used to fill up the tank at least every other day, but now only about twice per week.

We have a hybrid Ford Escape and we LOVE it. Great mileage, nice interior. We do joke, though, about the hamsters under the hood. It certainly goes, just not with the same power my V6 Grand Prix has.
