this is probably a hopeless question as i know there are massive differences between areas. assuming none of the flowers are imported, anyone have a ballpark figure how much something like this would cost? i havent got a florist yet, but i just dont know if something like this would be way out of my price range
its just the most stunning thing ive ever seen!! if i put three vases instead of 4 i could probably cut costs a little.and skipping the little candles on the table
my colours are really blue and orange (with maybe a hint of yellow) but this looks so warm and tropical…i think itd fit right in with my mexico wedding. venue doesnt supply flowers though, which is why im looking for a rough idea
the tablecloth would be the white one supplied. and maybe a blue table runner?

depends on where you are located 🙂 Don’t assume they are going to be cheaper…. because, in my experience, this is just as expensive as full floral arrangements 🙁 I wanted something similiar but ended up just doing DIY. Here is mine.. (really rough draft, just wanted to see how the flowers would hold up in water) I was quoted 150.00 for something similiar to this. I did it for 30.00

The dollar store carries cylinder vases like those for 1 dollar each. They don’t carry different sizes but itcan cut costs a little.

the problem is its a Destination Wedding. Its only a one hour domestic flight, but i dont think ill be able to carry all the necessary vases, even if i enlist a lot of people. 3-4 vases per table = 30-40 vases. unless i am certain i can buy the vases in cancun (there is a walmart actually) ill have to pay a really high price. bleugh.
@S2013: noooo now youre making me want those little beads too hahaha. im in a manic “see it, want it” stage and i really need to adjust my expectations of what i can get according to my budget. If i was having a wedding in the city i live i’d definitely try to DIY it…yours looks great!

@newname_99: I posted my very similar DIY version on this thread. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/make-your-own-centerpieces I included the link to the eBay store where I ordered the vases. You could always have them shipped directly to the venue in Puerto Rico.

Those are beautiful! Going to a florist can cost a lot of money!! If you live close to a craft store you should be able to find what you need there 🙂

I did something very similar… I got the smaller vases at the dollar store and then bought the larger ones at Michael’s/Hobby Lobby. everything else i bought at Walmart (they have a wedding section!) and on EBAY! ebay is a lifesaver…
OH, and i didn’t use real flowers but it wasn’t noticeable… i had twenty tables and i probably spent $200-$300 on everything

@Dragonfly22ny: thats actually not too bad/ i was expecting way higher
i suppose the next step will be contacting florists…i need to find a second simpler option that i also love so i wont be too disappointed if i cant pay for it!!
