Hey all future brides to be! My first post and I have finally decided to ( well 85%) to do a destination wedding. Anyone have any input about getting married on sea? or any other tidbits that the internet hasnt told me. THanks!

I’m doing a destination wedding at Sandals Negril Jamaica. It’s so easy, really beautiful, lots of options!! They have a page on Facebook – sandals weddingmoons – which will provide you with any and all information you need.

welcome to Weddingbee! when I first got engaged I knew I wanted a destination wedding and checked out all the websites too. I think it is a great option for a lot of brides! Just know you will not have as many friends and family there compared to if you had it at home. That was fine with me and my husband. We had a great turn out of our closest family and friends (65) and it was perfect!
Also, if you plan to have any part of it outside, ALWAYS have a back up plan in case of rain! A couple who got married the day before me had to rush the ceremony into a 30 minute slot in between the storm because they had no where else to go but the beach!

@Kay: I forgot to say this, but Sandals is awesome! We went there (the one in Antigua) for our honeymoon and some of the weddings they had there were gorgeous! I can’t wait to see some pictures!

We are getting married in Jamaica… see other posts about "why did you select your destination spot" or something like that in the destination boards for more stories and info!
I also stalked trip advisor and other travel sites, I was able to connect with several destination brides about their experiences.
