writersblock : My hypothesis is that people like to “push” their test answers to get INTJ because it is supposedly a rare type and has an air of intellectual uniqueness/eliteness around it. I also think people who have tested as INTJ are more likely to feel strongly about their MBTI result and want to tell people about it for the same reason.
