I joined last week.  I think the wait list thing is B.S. They just want us to share on Facebook and whatnot.  I was put on the wait list for not sharing and taken off after 3 days.  Big suprise. Other than the wait list shenanigans I’ve heard good things.  Excited for my first bag.

After getting BoxyCharm I will never go back to Ipsy! It’s twice the cost, but getting full sized products every month is totally worth it to me 🙂

Omg! Love it, got my first box last month. They said I was on the wait list, I decided to not do any of the extra bogus stuff they wanted, and the next day I was already off of it. I love it though! And the little bags that Come with it are really cute! I do birch box too and, so far, I like ipsy better

Got my first ipsy bag this month! I LOVE IT! I think for $10/mo. it is well worth it. It comes in a cute cosmetic bag and I got a full size lipstick, chapstick, and eyeliner. A deluxe sample of “the best purfume I’ve ever smelt”, and a sample size tarte bronzer. Well worth the $10!

klbrend:  I was a glam bag subscriber for a while until last year. I’m a MUA so I thought it would be a good way to try stuff out, but I just found for every one thing I got that I liked or used I got three or four things I didn’t need or didn’t like. But that being said, it’s a great way to try new things out and the price is great (is it still 10.00?) for the fact that sometimes I got full size nail polish (which I always used!) that were close to that price themself 🙂

Did it for like eight months. Hated it. The nice stuff was few and far between and there were way too many “scandals” — lipstick that smelled like gasoline, eyeliner that burned people, mascara that smelled like gasoline AND burned people. I preferred Birchbox because of their point system, but both Ipsy and Birchbox suffer from constantly-sending-shit-from-the-same-crappy-brands-itis. If I never see another product from Be A Bombshell again it will be too soon.

I got it for just over a year, but opted out about a year ago. The bags were really great at first, but by the end there was like 4 months in a row where they were kind of sub-par in my opinion, and I’d rather spend the money on a product I loved.

I have both Ipsy and Birchbox….Ipsy I’ve had for about a year and Birchbox is new.  Ipsy never gets the lip color right so I give all those away…but I’ve gotten some great stuff (mascara, liquid eyeliner, cleansers, etc) and think it’s worth $10 a month since I never buy products.  The cases are great too!

JamaicaBridetoBee:  Just fyi…. there’s a website called edivv where you can swap unused ipsy samples. I just signed up for both since I already have a pretty decent sized makeup collection and am expecting some duplicates.

I just cancelled  – I was so excited about this at first- but about 4 months into it I realized I like maybe one item enough to keep – I even changed my style quiz and I just didn’t love it.  I still am a member of Julep “Mavens” which I love!!! but it is more expensive

Ipsy was fun! but i never wanted to order any of the full size samples they sent

Maybe it’s because I aced my style quiz, but I’m really happy with the ipsy glam bags right now. There’s maybe one item in each bag that I don’t love. This month’s glam bag was really great. I dicovered a new hair product that I can’t live without (bought it in full size immediately), a gentle skin cleanser that’s perfect for my sensitive skin (will very likely buy it in a full size once it runs out), an eyeshadow palette that is so me and a new pair of tweezers! Last month, I got an eyeshadow in a stick that I love on days where I’m sporting a more dewy look and the perfect nail polish that’s been my go-to for summer pedis.

I’m intrigued with other posters’ suggestions of similar (and possibly nicer) services. I’ll keep them in mind when I get bored with ipsy.

GrannyPantiesRock:  Good to know. If you’re a redditor there’s r/makeupexchange where you can sell/swap makeup too 🙂
