When I had the Mirena in I had no sex drive either… The only thing that worked for me was taking things slow and do a lot of foreplay to get you in the mood!

I had mirena but don’t remember my sex drive changing – I just loved the fact that we could go for it at any time without the worry of protection! How long have you had the mirena for?

I’ve had both Mirena and Paraguard. My drive was like crap on the Mirena. I had it for 5 years and switches over to Paraguard. I’m doing a lot better but still don’t feel “normal”.

I have paragard so I don’t think that is much help since its non hormonal and shouldn’t have an affect on my sex drive. I haven’t noticed one anyway? My sex drive has always been on the low side anyway.

I have the mirena IUD and my drive has dropped, it hasnt disappeared but it is lower. Once we start playing I’m good to go and were still averaging 6-7 times a week so he cant really complain haha. The lack of peroid is a huge bonus too.

Paragard killed my sex drive eventually because I had horrible, heavy, blood-fountain type periods and bad PMS beforehand, so I was out of commission 2 weeks of the month. Sad face.

I have Paragard and haven’t noticed a difference! I’m sorry, OP, I understand how frustrating that is! 🙁
