@brighteyedgirl:   Oh, no.  I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through.  Is the spotting red or brown?  Hold on to the fact that you have no cramps.

@bouncybee:   FX for you.  I’ve been spotting brown every day for almost 4 weeks and everything looks okay so far.

@NaijaPuertoDorian:   I’m so so sorry.  If you have any questions about methotrexate, feel free to ask me.  I took it in February.  It sounds like you’re in good hands, though and not at a high risk for anything rupturing as long as you’re being monitored so closely.  Methotrexate is much better than the alternative.  We’re here for you.

@KateByDesign:  Thanks for the well wishes, ladies. I’m still bleeding today (it has gone from red to light pink to almost gone, and now I’m back to red… sory for the TMI), but still no cramping or pain. I’ve been taking it as easy as possible, including napping when I feel like it, chores be damned! Still no word from the doctor, which is a good sign… I’m just trying to focus on the positives–no cramping, bleeding is ‘normal’, my cervix is closed…

@buslam69:  thanks ladies, fingers crossed for you too xx

Went to the doctor yesterday but she wasnt very hopeful, she said there isnt anything they can do if it is a miscarriage which i know already but sometimes you just need somebody to say everythings gonna be fine. But she didnt. She sent me for a HCG blood test but said she wouldnt be able to repeat it after 48 hours so theres no point but i went anyway because id like to know what my number is, she also tested me for a UTI. On the plus side the brown spotting has stopped as of now, it was more like a brown discharge if anything but with my history i just panicked. Hopefully im not out and little dot stays sticky DH isnt being very supportive about it all so you ladies are all i have.

FX for everybody sticky babies all around xx

@bouncybee:   That’s weird that your Doctor wasn’t reassuring.  With each time I’ve spotted my Doctors have always said that it’s completely normal if brown.  And that it’s most likely implantation.

And why can’t she do a 48 hour follow up??

@KateByDesign:

she said she didnt go by HCG levels etc as she wasnt the doctor just the nurse at the doctors surgery. HCG level testing isnt standard practice here so i had to fight to get the first test, it came back as 60 which ive read is quite low. I demanded another test so i can see if its doubling or falling because im so worried and she is sending me for a repeat test tomorrow. I wont get the results until mon/tues though which is disheartening as i will be worried all weekend when i have to work.

@bouncybee:  As I’ve heard many times, never base how good or bad your HCG is until you’ve seen a second number.  If it’s doubling eveyr 48 hours then it doesn’t matter how high or low your numbers are.

I’m glad you pushed for the second test.  FX for you!

April Momma just popping by to say CONGRATS to all the June Mommas! This is an incredible (and sometimes difficult, tiring, emotionally draining) journey you’ve started, so worth it!

I’m 17 weeks and getting into the super exciting parts now!

So I got my HCG and Progesterone done today, I think I hit 5 weeks today. HCG is 3821 and Progesterone is over 6000! I compared these numbers to last time, and my numbers are way higher now. We’ll do my first ultrasound and OB appt is on Halloween. ๐Ÿ™‚

Had a little scare today, had bright red blood when I wiped and immediately FREAKED OUT.  Saw a doc at the urgent care who was so very unhelpful.  She didn’t even take a look at me, just told me that miscarriages happen and there is nothing to be done to prevent them and that she couldnt even tell me if I was having one. urgh!  I started crying and then she sent me to an after hours OBGYN clinic down the road.  The doc there was sooo much nicer and gave me an ultrasound to see what was going on.  I’m 6 weeks 6 days today and my little blueberry was measuring 7 weeks with a heart rate of 160bpm!  I know I’m not out of the woods yet but I feel so much better knowing that there is a heartbeat and that things look ok today at the very least ๐Ÿ™‚

By the way, the doc said that bleeding could be from sex that happened up to 7 days ago!  If anything has been “up there” in the past week, it could explain bleeding.  Who knew?
