I received my wedding shoes this morning and I love them! One catch though…just a smidgeon big and my heel slips a little. I was thinking about trying the Foot Petals that are for your heels. They say they are supposed to help with fit issues and prevent slippage. I guess I could always go a 1/2 size down but I have bought and returned 3 pairs of shoes already since I have such small feet (5 1/2).
Anyone try them???

@kitzy: Thanks!!! My dress is supposed to be here in about 3 weeks and I want to have my shoes squared away soon. Looks like I will be giving them a try 🙂

I wear Foot Petals in my high, high heeled work shoes to give the bottoms of my feet a little more padding. They stick great! One thing though, I’m not sure I’d put them in unless you’re fairly sure you want to keep the shoes, just because they DO stick so well. You might have trouble getting them off without being able to tell they were there.

I like Foot Petals but my favorite is the HUE brand that is sold at Dillards. They are about half the cost of Foot Petals & they are made out of a really comfortable (anti-bacteria) gel that forms to your foot (instead of the foam Foot Petals are made out of). Also, the HUE adhesive sticks better (but doesnt leave messy glue behind if you have to take them out of your shoes). I’ve got arch inserts & strap strips on my shoes so they’ll be a little more comfortable on the big day! I also plan on trying to wear them a couple days before the wedding (just around the house of course) to try & break them in. I’ll probably buy some type of ivory sandal or flip flop as a back up plan for the wedding reception (in case my feet are killing me)…I have seen a really nice Nina ivory wedge flip flop on http://www.zappos.com around $50 w/ free shipping…they are sold out right now but supposed to be getting another shipment in around Valentines Day. Good luck with your shoes! 🙂

i’ve used foot petals too and like them but AmuseMeMusically is right they really stick to your shoes and are hard to come out. I like http://www.stilettohardware.com insoles because they’re really soft and mold to your feet because they have a bit of memory foam. and they come in a normal ball-of-foot size as well as a slender ball-of-foot size for shoes that are already quite tight. they’re a bit expensive but are much better quality than dr scholls
