I don’t have her name handy but if you call Bridal’s by Sandra in Nazreth they can recommend a great seamstress (they won’t take dresses that aren’t bought there but they have a woman who helps out when they are really busy who works out of her home). She did an excellent reasonable job on a bridesmaid dress for me

Hey guys, I live in Topton, PA- right outside of bear creek, and kutztown. My fiance is from Kutztown, born and raised. I am originally from Lansdale, Pa- right off the turnpike, south of lehigh. I am having my wedding in October, 23rd, 2010. We booked a reception/ceremony- in the same place- and catering included. I wanted to book and I wanted to book fast! 🙂

Now it seems that only the little stuff are left from here on out….

and by little- i mean the HUGE list of stuff to do…. 🙂

@raeszxtwo-im from a similar area and am having a pretty difficult time finding a farm/barn venue setting that is reasonably priced and allows me to bring my own caterer. just out of curiosity, does your families farm often hold events? im doubting thats the case, but i figured it doesn’t hurt to ask. im sure your wedding was beautiful!

im doing my best not to settle on a reception place that isn’t beyond wonderful..im running out of time :/

@MrsJohnsonToBe:  I heard from my fiance it’s BYOB and it’s family style.

I need some help because I really want to have a backyard wedding but it’s too much overbudget (esp. when you add in the tent).  Plus there’s a concern about parking in a cul-de-sac.  It’s very quiet around Cherryville!

Any reviews about the Hanover Grande Ballroom and Barnhouse Village?  We’ve stopped by the BHV and for the price it’s great.  But there isn’t many wedding pictures to get an idea how it’s set up.  We’ve also checked out the Brew Works (nice but concern about the parking) and Iron Lakes (love it but it’s $10 more than Barnhouse).

As for other vendors, is there any wedding video that isn’t stuck in the 1990s?  Almost everyone’s (except for Bar None) is really old and/or cheesy.  I have this one video guy in mind but it’s overbudget (over $3000 but love his work Cry).

Hopefully we can make the LV board active!

I’d love to have this board active! We’re getting married at the Brew Works next May! The parking garage across the street is free on weekends so we weren’t concerned with parking at all.

Check out Memories Unlimited Videography…we meet him at the brewery’s bridal show last week and loved his work…very reasonable price too.

I am also hoping to get this board active! 🙂

I am getting married at Iron Lakes Country Club. It is gorgeous! I didn’t think we’d be able to afford it, but since we are having a more casual Sunday Brunch, it worked for us! I have my dress at Jons Bridal by Suzanne for 50% off, but it needs to be altered. It’s too big. Does anyone have any suggestions for a seamstress?

I’d love to hear from all you lehigh valley Brides! Lets get this board back up and running!

  • Wedding: November 2014 - Hotel Bethlehem

I am getting married at Hotel Bethlehem in november and I can’t be more excited to do so.Im still working on finding a florist- looking at Garden of Eden and Ross’ Flowers on 309. I was thinking of looking into Wegman’s florists? Has anyone done this before? Their arrangements are beaufitul and what I am asking for is very simple. I hope to hear from some Lehigh Valley brides!!

Kapustic1017: I am using delorenzo photography based out of Bangor for my July 2015 wedding. Her prices were very reasonable in comparison to the other 10 quotes I received. She’s on facebook and Instagram. Tell her Chris sent you!

Ah! Bump! I’m in this category!

We’re in East Stroudsburg, but will likely get married in the Valley because it’s an easier spot to travel to for our families!

apo2650:  Hi APO. I hope your wedding was wonderful! I am interested in the Hotel Bethlehem, but I’m not yet engaged and I feel weird calling to inquire. Do you mind sharing what package you picked, and what you paid per person? Thanks and congrats!

PS. Anyone else who hosted at HB is welcome to share, too!
