50 grams of carbs is tough! haha. I’m plateuing now so maybe I will have to that.
DH&I make the zucchini spaghetti, have you heard of it? DELISH! Cut up zucchini into noodle sized pieces. Normal spaghetti sauce. Add chicken sausage for kicks =)
Also he just made a mini chicken cordon bleu. Chicken breast wrapped around low fat canadian bacon with reduced fat swiss cheese baked. Chicken had a dry rub on it. SO good!
Another one I like is turkey bacon wrapped chicken tenders… Cut up chicken breast to be finger size, wrap with bacon&pin with a toothpick, bake!

My husband and I are primal/paleo which is, by nature, lower in carbs. We don’t shy away from them though and enjoy tubers, squash, fruit and the ocassional piece of chocolate. Sweet potato fries are a faborite of ours and make an apperance at least once a week on our menu.
Hubby is a baker/chef so he is in charge of the cooking and I am in charge of planning the menu for the week and doing the required shopping. It’s not a bad arrangement 🙂 Our weekly menu consists of a protein and a veggie. That’s it. If it’s not an ingredient in a menu item for that week – we don’t buy it. And therefore, we don’t eat it. Keeping tempation to induge in mindless grains/carbs to a minumum.
Being prepared with meals is important for anyone who wants to go low carb. They need snacks that help stave off cravings. Where they fail is — they grab something carby (popcorn, candy, chips, fruit). Once you beat the carb cravings (generally 2 weeks or so), you’ll get them less and less and meal frequency will actually decrease. So it’s important to keep some non-carb snack food handy. Beef jerky is a favorite and easy to carry around with you. The single serving packs of almond butter fit nicely in your purse too! A handful of nuts (careful not to overdo it on the nuts, very calorically dense) will keep you full for quite a while.

I just started to go low carb. Also I lost 60 kg last time I was on that diet in appr. 2 years. I stopped in early 2011. After that, I just stopped exercising, eating soo much more junkfood and sweets and put on weight. I think I gained 20 kgs all together since I did the diet last time, so 40 Kg’s have stayed off. Now, I am starting to exercise again and eat more lowcarb. Just got a work friend of mine to start with me, so we can help each other out.
I was also thinking of going all Paleo, but it seems soo strict.
