This is my Sottero and Midgley dress, the Lara. It’s a sheath with cap sleeves and a keyhole.

I also tried on some other Maggie’s. This is the Amara dress. I loved it on the model, but it was really heavy and sturdy with this lacey fabric in real-life and did not fit me very well, it made me look broader and bigger chested. I did like it a little but not for me. Still like the model picture better than my own.

And then I also tried a strapless, just for the right sizing. I didn’t like this dress (I didn’t want a strapless nor a corset back) but it was kind of fun to try on once, now I know this is not for me. It did not suit me at all. I have no idea which model this is though. Anyone?

Hope this helps!

I didn’t buy either of these, but they’re so gorgeous. I still feel a little wistful when I look at them! I wish I were thin enough to actually buy a mermaid.

I love seeing these pics of REAL brides in Maggies! I think they are more beautiful on real brides than on the models! 🙂

hollysmith92:  I think so too! I have been on the bee for years, just for inspiration (I wasnt engaged back then), but I have always loved seeing photos of real brides wearing these dresses.

Maggie Sottero dresses are known for their impeccable fit and from experience I can say that’s true.

I just bought my Maggie dress today!!! Absolutely LOVE it!!! It’s not a mermaid, it’s a lace fitted A-line and it’s just so gorgeous, especially how it sparkles. As soon as I put it on I just feel amazing. Her dresses fit so nicely. Two of my friends are getting married this summer too and both of their dresses are Maggie’s as well.

coconutgiraffe:  yes! the bodice is champagne/gold and the skirt is ivory! I love the contrast and I found the colors did better things for my fair skin then just plain white.

sema4dogz:  Thanks, I love that dress! I haven’t chosen it yet though, as it’s way more $$ than I thought I’d be paying on a dress. I really want my hair down also, but this dress works a lot better with an upstyle…

This dress may just be a fantasy for me haha..
