I’m having a hard time finding a ceremony venue that will be large enough for all of my guests. This has my Fiance and I thinking about doing an outdoor ceremony in a park to accomodate everyone. I live in Michigan so I’m worried that it will be too chilly for an outdoor ceremony.
Are there any bees from the North-Eastern US that had their spring wedding outside? When was it and what was the weather like for you?

I did not have my wedding outside or in early spring 🙂 However, my bff did. They risked it, considering we are in CT and hoped that the weather would work out. It was at the end of March. Honestly, it was cold. It didn’t rain, and if it did they planned to just get married at their reception venue. Lots of her guests didn’t realize that it was outdoors and so they didn’t have jackets. The one’s that did wore them the entire time. Most people sat in their cars until right before when the planner went around telling people that it was about to start. Her only issue with it was in the pictures her guests are all in coats and don’t look “nice” really.

@mwitter80: Thanks for your feedback! Those poor guests at your friend’s wedding must have been frigid since they didn’t know it would be outside! Guests being cold is my biggest worry. We’re waiting for a response from a possible ceremony site, but if they can’t have us we’ll probably end up using our reception hall. Temperatures for Michigan around my date can range from 50- 70 degrees. The average for my wedding month is around 58 degrees. We have extremely unpredictable weather!
