So my husband just started med school. I went to the family orientation. They ALL said that med students need to study 6-7 hours every single day. My husband does not do that. He DOES study a couple hours each day, but definitely not 6 or 7.
He was the type that never had to study in high school. He would study a couple hours the night before a big test in undergrad and always did fine. I mean, the boy didn’t even truly study for the MCAT – just a few hours brushing up on some stuff. He seems to think that he’s fine, but I KNOW that the rest of his classmates are studying a lot more than him. I don’t want him to fall behind, so we’ve talked about it. He says that he loves that I’m concerned because it shows that I care, but that there’s no need to worry.
So basically my question is: how much did you/your SO study in med school? Do I need to try to force him to have better study habits or just consider myself blessed that my man is a genius and I actually get to spend time with him?
