I’m going to kill somebody lol… But the silver lining is that we were able to book Buca Di Beppo on the fly! Signed the contract and it is done. The next conquest is do i do a veil or flower hair clip and which pair of earrings lol… only about 25 days left AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Hey girls! Excited we’re all able to meet on here. I’m a little behind you all… I’m in the “waiting for the ring” stage, but we’re planning a May wedding so we’ve done a few things to try to stay on top of all that’s to come. The only thing we’ve booked officially is our photographer. Ya’ll… if you don’t have a photographer check him out Maddox Photography. His work is amazing and if you mention you saw this add through Clarissa and he gives a friend discount.

What stuff have you all booked? For a future planner in the Nashville area, what are some tips for me and what I’m about to endure?

@cstylist12:  Hey! you were the one that sent me a message about Maddox Photography! Thanks again for that by the way. Still not sure on who our photographer will be. My future sister in law says she knows someone who is really good so I figured I’m going to go check her out as well here is here blog where you can see some of her work. But so far, I don’t really have anything booked yet. I made an appointment to visit a possible venue on Sunday though! My fiance and I are pretty excited about it. Hopefully it has everything we want! But right now I am trying to balance my budget and figure out an idea of what all I’m spending on what.

Does anyone else have a spreadsheet or a list of how much they’re spending for each category? Also, how much are yall planning on spending total??

@Melissa_Elise yes! I saw you post something and I wanted to pass on some helpful information! What venue are you looking at? We have a lot of family out of town, and some out of the country so we’ve had to make a few decisions “out of order”, but we won’t be doing a lot of the specifics until we’re officially engaged.

Our budget is going to be as small as we can keep it. What’s yours?

Is it possible to have a great wedding in Nashville for under 10k?

What has been the most surprising cost to you so far?

@cstylist12:  We are going to go look at Blackhaven Wedding Gardens in Lebanon, TN. It looks like such a nice place! I’m originally from Hendersonville, TN; but my future in laws just bought a house and moved to Lebanon, so lately I’ve been visiting over there and I was so surprised how much I love the area!

And yeah same here, I definitely want to keep the overall budget as low as possible, but I think if we REALLY like Blackhaven, then we might be shooting to be somewhere between 10-12k? I just attempted to balance the budget out to see how much I should spend on what if I was planning on spending 10k and just sorta went from there, but I have a feeling there’s probably some small things that I forgot to think about which is why I threw in a couple thousand dollars more. haha!

As far as the most surprising cost?… Hmmm… I’m not too sure because I really haven’t looked at a ton of vendors yet, but I think it’d be the venue? When trying to figure out how much of the budget to spend on the ceremony/reception venue, one site said 40-50%, but really I feel like it’s more like 65-70%. But I guess it just depends on the venue and what all they offer. It’s SO tough to really say.

@cstylist12:  I just had a wedding outside of Nashville for about 6k. It’s tough to keep it under 10k and one of the only reasons I was able to do it was because we had the wedding on a Sunday. It’s doable, you just have to do a lot of research.

Yeah, my fiance and I both have our hearts set on a date, but it’s a Thursday. I know some places do a discount, or it’s cheaper if it’s not a Saturday, but the place that we’re going to be visiting says they just have one price, which sorta bums us out, but I guess we will see how much we like it when we go to visit it this Sunday!
