i think it’s awesome that you’re not reusing clothes cause you gave it away and not cause you feel it’s too old or something like that

just wanted to say that!

@MrsDPal811:  Absolutely! We re-used everything we could. Of course that’s very generous of you to give away old stuff, but we didn’t until we were sure we were done having kids.

My first is 8 years older than our new lo so no I didn’t BUT this time we already have our RocknPlay sleeper put away & I’m sure we’ll reuse the infant car seat, stroller, PnP, possibly the bouncer (if we can find away to store it), & my Baby K’tan carrier. We donate all of her clothes though so there won’t be much saved in that dept.

I’m going to keep and reuse everything until I am done with babies. Really makes cloth diapering super low cost. Then I will donate/give everything away that I can, saving a few favorite outfits ( I even have some from many many generations ago, and from my mom) for my kids to have for their own someday.

@MrsDPal811:  I’m having my first in the spring (a girl) but was sure to register for all gender neutral “big stuff” (car seat, stroller, swing etc) so that we can reuse that stuff later on down the road. We won’t give anything away until we are sure we are done having kids. We are having a baby shower this time around bc its our first but 2nd showers are considered rude in my circle and to me personally so when we do have a second child we won’t be having one. Anything we need for number 2 we’ll purchase ourselves.

We do not know what we are having yet. (Feb 19!!) We saved everything from DS and have mad amounts of clothes. Also have crib, changing table, stroller, have to check the exp date on the car seat, booster seat, pack n play, play mat, jumperoo, and bouncer.  Will need to get a swing, baby carrier, possibly a car seat and a bath tub. And if we end up having a girl we will need some girl clothes too, well even if a boy I will still buy some clothes, just too hard not to lol After this one all will be sold/given away as this is our last.

I reused everything I could but made sure each baby had something special to them. For each of my four kids I have a framed baby photo, a baby outfit, first booties, a special baby blanket and a stuffed toy. My girls have a baby bracelet which they still treasure ( they are teens) and my son has an engraved ring.

@MrsDPal811:  I know but it is taking soooo long to get here lol So impatient to find out with this one. I know I will have no problem buying new stuff whether it is a girl or boy but SO is a tight wad and has a hard time understanding why baby would need a new receiving blanket even though we have 20 already lol silly men

We are expecting our first – some things – like the stroller – we have bought knowing we’re aiming to have a second baby after two years.

I intend to keep almost all of my maternity clothes since my style tends to be fairly simple like black pants or jeans and tops that don’t really have to change much with fashion. I think maternity clothing where I am is waaaaay over-priced and I find it too hard to get maternity clothes that fit correctly to buy online.

As for baby clothes I guess we’ll keep some nicer ones, especially gender neutral ones.

We have a co-sleeper cot which I intend to keep for the second baby too.

We have a baby carrier but it’s not an expensive brand and I don’t know if we’ll decide it’s worth keeping – we may replace it just for our frst baby. I imagine things like that though – if you find good ones – are really worth holding onto if you know you’ll be having another baby.

We will reuse as much as possible! All the big purchases (car seat, stroller, swing, pack n play, etc.) I made sure to get gender neutral so we can reuse for baby #2.
