So, as I recently posted, I purchased the WG9828 dress from David’s Bridal last night. 🙂
I know that Miss Cardigan has the dress too…which is awesome!
Though I was also curious to see which other bees out there have it too?
Here’s a pic. I posted elsewhere on WB of the dress without doing anything to make it look more fitted inthe skirt. From this angle I think I look alright..haha. This was taken w. my cell last night.
This pic. is of the same dress a couple days earlier…again without messing with the shape.
Though I’m having a little bit of dress worry for the bottom part of the dress b/c I am trying to eliminate any cases where I end up looking ‘big’…or too boxy or whatnot….as I have more hips/rear/thighs than anything else and am selfconcious.
I initially considered seeing about getting the dress pulled in even tighter at the bottom of the skirt…but now feel I may ruin the look of the dress if I do that…
Any other advice to help me ease my mind? 🙂 Thanks!

No other dress twins, huh?

I am a dress twin!!! You look great! I don’t think you should mess with the bottom of the dress too much. Once more alterations are done you will be fine, plus if you want more of a fit and flare you can wear DB’s mermaid slip (I think it’s Slip Style 550). It can help fill out the bottom and make it more dramatic. I am planning on getting the slip myself.
And don’t worry too much, I am also a litte self-conscious about myself in the dress. I plan on losing 10lbs. Plus, there is a small dark spot about 4 inches from the hem, which I hope DB will be able to remove by cleaning or when I go in for alterations and have the hem raised.
As you can see, I have some junk in the trunk. I say, if you got it, flaunt it. It will look great in this dress :o)

@BrideofHugo: YAY for dress twins! Thanks! The dress also looks great on you! 🙂 Yeah, the more I think of it, I also think that the dress will be different when the hem is to my size, etc. Hope DB is able to help you with your dress too!
haha…yeah, the dress really does make me feel like my ‘junk in the trunk’ looks better. :O)

I wore this dress for my wedding in April 2010. I loved it when I first bought it, but the alterations made it even more perfect. I am sure you will all look fabulous on your big day!!
