I found and fell in love with maggie sottero’s kendra because of you ladies here on wedding bee. But most of the posts are from over a year ago… are there any new Kendra brides? Or if any previous posters want to give us an update on there kendra experience….

I didn’t get this dress, but it was the cause for much dress regret for me – it was my runner up! It’s a beautiful dress:

I didn’t wind up with this dress, but it was one of my favorites! I drooled over it for months before I got to try it on, it had all the elements I thought I wanted. But when I tried it, I felt it was way too heavy for my outdoor wedding in June. I was a bit heartbroken at first, before I fell in love with a light taffeta ballgown!

I bought this dress and am waiting on the edge of my seat for it to arrive!! I had tried on quite a few alternative dresses and fell in love with this one the minute that I saw myself in it, it made me feel incredible. Absolutely cannot imagine anything more beautiful!! Now I just need to match a veil to it 😀 Do we think a shorter veil?? I’m torn!!

@nikky.abraham: Yeah dress twin!! I tried on different lengths and I really perferred the long simple veil. However I’ve been contemplating making my own.

I wore Kendra!! Last June, but I’d totally wear her everyday if I could!!
My Kendra experience:
Yes, It was heavy, but I didn’t mind it really, totally worth it!
I wore a trumpet style crinoline slip underneath.
Tip: do not wear pantyhose. Since it’s tight to the hips, you can’t lift it up to get those pantyhose down! (i’m glad I didn’t, but thought I’d pass this along to those to may)
Allot a good 15 mins to bustle the dress, there is so much train to bustle!!!
If I think of anything else, I’ll let you know!!

@nikky.abraham: I wore a long veil, I orginally bought a short one (fingertip) but then I ended up with one that went all the way to the bottom of the gown. I have pics I can post if you want

I LOVED my Kendra!!!!! It fit perfectly and created curves for me (I don’t have any). It was fairly easy to lace up and looked excellent in all our photos. I didn’t wear a crinoline and it had plenty of volume. It hugged me just where it needed to and gave volume in the right spots. I wore a long, cathedral length, simple veil. I also added one shoulder strap, because I had always wanted a one-shoulder dress but this was just too perfect.
The only issue I had was that my bustle broke during the reception (after our first dance, thankfully!) so I was holding up my train during a lot of the night to dance, but I don’t know if that was user error or what. Also, because I was so concerned with having curves, we pulled the corset pretty tight and it hurt a little when i was sitting, but nothing that would take away from anything.
My Kendra is still hanging in my closet–I don’t have the heart to store her yet, but I hope to do it around the one year mark.
I still think this was the perfect choice and looks amazing on anyone!!

My first dress fitting. I didn’t take pictures at the second fitting! Too tempting to share! I lost3 pounds and add a bustier with padding. It looked amazing!
