princessbee1991:  I don’t do resolutions but I am going to continue what I did this year which was a gratitude jar. I wrote on little bit’s of paper all the good and positive things that had happened this year and on NYE I will look at them all. The year before, I realised it was very easy to remember the negatives rather than the positives. Looking forward to reflecting on all the wonderful things that have happened this year and looking forward to filling up the jar again.

waitingtoexhale1984:  I sounds so freaking hippy’ish but it is a really good positive thing to do, it is nice to see the jar fill up and on days where you feel a bit hard done by and like life isn’t quite treating you right, it helps to glance at it and remember it ain’t all bad!

I got married without going flat broke or hurting anyone? Does that count? This year flew, my mind was on the wedding and not much more sadly.

I’m very excited for 2016. I don’t have a resolution list, but more like a 3 year plan before we start making babies. Most on that list will start coming 2016.

I have some very flowery resolutions, like “be nicer and more patient,” and some more concrete goals, like starting my own calligraphy business and taking the time to finally learn how to deal with my hair!

princessbee1991:  Both my husband and I want new jobs. He’s been at his for 6 years, and I must hear 3 or 4 times a year about how terrible it is… he started more actively looking in October and November, but he doesn’t follow up.  I’m getting my Ph.D, and I plan on being done with my lab work by the end of summer, so I hope to be working full time as I write. My student loan payments kick in again in December, so it would really help our family…

In 2015 I went back to school for my Bachelors degree and remained consistent with my job search.

In 2016 I plan to maintain a clean eating life style with regular exercise so I can for once regain confidence and feel comfortable in my own skin.  I started working on this in 2015 so 2016 will be about maintenance and seeing my goals through.

MsBeer:  I love that idea! I’m going to talk to Fiance about starting one from our memories of this year. What a great outlook. Thanks!

I don’t do new years resolutions as such, I think of a word which will be my “value” for the year. This year I think it will be something like “Listen” or “Trust”. I’ve been like a compass spinning without a north the last couple of years and want to learn to relax, HEAR, and trust my own inner voice
