@dlbaqua:  It was super surreal for us after we got married as well.  To be honest, we’re 1 1/2 years in, and sometimes we still have to pinch ourselves.  We’ve been together for 10 years now, and still, we have to say “OMG we’re married?” Haha! πŸ˜€

We’ve been together for over 7 years (married a little over 3 months) and started dating at 16/17 and it is pretty bizarre to think I married my High School Sweetheart. I still catch myself about to call him “boyfriend” instead of “husband” sometimes lol!

Congratulations on your recent marriage!

@dlbaqua:  I think you and I have a similar story. I’m married to my first love. We lived together and were engaged when we were 17/18.

We broke up, grew up, and reunited after 17 years apart. Now we are are married.

Sometimes I can’t believe its us, married. Its such a blissful feeling. I’ll catch myself staring at him and I’ll see him as his 16 year old self rather than his 36 year old self and I just can’t believe it.

Yep, my husband said it the other day, “We’re married !!” with a big grin on his face.  We recently purchased some new furniture for our house and realized it was our first major furniture purchase together since we’ve been married.  πŸ™‚  Married six months this month!

Yep. I still giggle with glee and grin like a fool when it hits me how lucky I am to be married to him. Call me lovestruck… and I like it. πŸ™‚

We passed our first anniversary a while ago and we still feel that way. Darling Husband and were childhood friends so I totally get where you’re coming from. When one of our childhood friends gets drunk he has the tendacy to text me with “NO WAY! YOU MARRIED ____” LOL. Clearly, it hasn’t sunk in for him yet either.

@dlbaqua:  I know the feeling!  We’ve been married just shy of 3 weeks and last night on the couch I looked at him and said, “I still can’t believe we’re married.”  All that planning and the amazing wedding day and here we are.  I’m in the process of changing my name and it’s just so exciting.  πŸ™‚

I still find myself going “husband”, huh, weird!  we were sitting on the couch a couple weeks ago watching tv and he just looked at me and said “is it weird to you that we are married now? IDK why i just thought of that!”  i just laughed and said sometimes it is weird to think! I love it though!

Absolutely – we are another couple who started dating at 16/17. Who would’ve thought we end up where we are now – married!

It’s been 6 months for us, and I still slip up and use “boyfriend” or catch myself being amazed at how it all worked out.
