Nope no veil here!!! I didn’t want one…but i did try one on and it was beautiful…BUT it wasn’t me… I wasn’t getting married in a church or anytime so it felt just not right…I was struggling to find something to go in my hair… BUT then my beautiful friend who is living overseas and couldn’t make it back for the wedding bought me this one off etsy and I LOVED IT… she knows me so well. It was perfect on the day and even more special because she gave it to me.

I say go with what feels right. and what looks most “you”  Goodluck!

I’m not planning on wearing a veil. It looks gorgeous on so man others, but it’s really just not my style. 🙂

Good luck with your decision! You’ll look amazing no matter what you choose!

I’m not wearing a veil either! I think they look good on other brides, but I just felt like I was playing dress-up when I put one on! I’m wearing a hair flower from Etsy instead.

I say do what feels right for you!

    PS: I LOVE your dress!

I do wedding photography. I just wanted to say that this year alone I’ve already had 3 brides who bought veils to apease the people shopping with them, and then last minutes opted to not wear them. One bride actually threw her veil out the hotel window when her mother wasn’t looking, and then pretended she couldn’t find it. Her mother looked disapointed for about 30 seconds, then realized it was her daughters wedding day and got over it. It really made me laugh.

I didn’t wear a veil. We got married on the beach and it can be pretty windy so I didn’t want the hassle of the veil blowing all around. I wore fresh flowers in my hair.

@ellisrobertson:  no veil and father not giving me away! I’m 41 and don’t see that either are necessary at my age, even tho i’m a first time bride

@ellisrobertson:  I’m a no-veil girl, don’t like being “given away” and both my parents are walking me down the aisle. But, in Catholic weddings, they don’t ask who’s giving the bride, because they view marriage as a sacriment that both parties willingly enter into, so no worries there! 🙂

I didn’t wear a veil but wanted to, couldn’t find one with brown trim so I just bought a tiara and rocked it. I don’t think you need a veeil at all, esp. with that hairpiece.

I was a no veil bride and I loved it, for me it would have added too much fuss too my outfit. Not too mention it was sooooo hot out, I have heard a lot of brides complianing about added weight, heat, and fuss so those are always good to consider!

I never bought a veil either because I didn’t feel like it would suit me so I bought a headband on etsy that I fell in loved with. However, my family and friends werent thrilled with the idea of no veil.  A good friend of mine ended up bringing her veil to my reception and had me take a few pictures with it. I only wore it for a little while because it didn’t stay in place but to be honest… the pictures that I’ve seen so far WITH the veil on look better than without it. :  It actually did make me look more like a bride although It didn’t feel that way when I was wearing it.

(it was just annoying to have to keep adjusting it. Which is why I didn’t want one in the first place. lol)

I wore mine for just the ceremony (never over my face) and I wish I hadn’t spent the money on it.  I took it off right after the ceremony because I didn’t want it in the pictures and just felt weird with it on!
