So I HATE drinking water but I’m trying to make a healthy switch. I’ve tried drinking more water for a few days but always quit. Has anyone made the switch notice a difference? Like: more/less energy, skin differences..
I drink pop ALL day and that’s the hardest part, along with having caffeine withdrawal headaches, I feel like I need pop for energy.
So I’m hoping one of you could help me make the switch by hopefully sharing your positive experiences. I need motivated!

@Fruitypebbles193: I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago and switched to all water. My skin is AMAZING. Not sure if it’s pregnancy glow or the almost gallon of water I’m drinking. I’ll call it water.

Since I started drinking water I feel healthier. I can tell now if I haven’t gotten enough water because I feel stiff, bloated and sometimes get heachaches. The one downside is that right at first you have to go to the bathroom all the time! Once your body adjusts you’ll be able to wait it out. Don’t give up!

Have you tried making this? I love it and it’s a less drastic switch than to non-flavored water!

Squeezing fresh lemons/limes in water helps 🙂 I’m not a big water-drinking either, and fresh lemon juice in water has helped BIG TIME. I gulp it all the time now. Just make sure the juice comes form a REAL LEMON. None of that bottled crap. That stuff is gross.
Anyhoo, after switching to water, I feel “cleaner.” It’s weird. I don’t feel as heavy or bogged down from the sugar of soda that I used to feel.

@Fruitypebbles193: Holy crap, yes, yes, yes. If you go from drinking soda all day to water, you should be able to fly in about 4 weeks time. Seriously. Soda is liquid garbage.

I drink a lot of water during the week at work, and sometimes I find that I forget to drink as much on the weekend. When that happens, I can tell because I don
t feel as good, and any wrinkles on my face look more prominent. Water is amazing. Youll see!

Everyone I’ve ever known to cut out a large portion of their soda drinking and switched to water has noticed a huge difference. They usually shed weight for one, because of the lesser calories and sugar, but they also feel more energized, honestly.
I’ve never been a soda drinker though, so I cannot speak from experience.

@lia22: That’s interesting that you can see the difference just in a weekend!
Im defiantly getting more motivate to stay with it after reading everyone’s responses.
Im getting married in two weeks(my wedding got moved forward) so hopefully it will be good to switch over. Or maybe I should wait until after? I’v heard of people getting bloated when the switch over?..

I drink a lot of water, and when I get bored or want flavor I will drop some fruit in it. I actually got a pitcher that has a compartment where you store the fruit. I think strawberries, pineapple, and any citrus work really well. Especially if you chill it in the fridge for a few hours beforehand.

@Fruitypebbles193: I probably lost about 10 lbs from just switching from drinking soda and tea all day to drinking water all day. I think I definitely feel better as well, more energy, less cramping and tightness. occasionally i’ll add a crystal light packet to a bottle of water if I just want some flavor. I also like cucumber water.
DEFINTELY drink more water

When I was a kid, I was a solitary soda drinker. I’m not even kidding — No tea, no lemonade, no straight water. I drank pretty much any soda I could get (with the occasional gatorade since I was a sporty kid) but other than that, I drank no water.
I developed a life threatening kidney infection when I was in 7th grade and was hospitalized for a while and developed bacterial buildup that turned into stone-like structures.
After that, I drank enormous amounts of water and I did feel a difference. I pissed like a racehorse, but I definitely felt better.
I still drink soda like it’s going out of style, but I drink a lot mroe water than I used to, and I generally feel a lot better.

I have been soda, juice and coffee free for almost three weeks now and I feel fantastic. My skin is clearer, ihave a ton of energy and I’ve lost weight. Best decision I’ve made.

I’ve gotten much better about drinking plain water, but while I was learning I drank water infused with lemons, cucumbers, and mint. That was SO easy for me to drink all day long. I should start that again.

@Fruitypebbles193: the way I cut soda out was by drinking mineral or soda water. I really wanted the fizz and found that mineral water (topo chico) was amazing and now I dont crave soda at all. Not sure if it will work for you, but now I very arely have soda.
