In my state they are in a state registry pretty much immeadiately. I too got sucked into the $8 trap, only to find out that my future employer knew before I did when they looked it up online a day earlier.

Good luck @lrwedd!! I know when I took my NCLEX the hardest part was the waiting game!!! But I passed with flying colors! Good luck!! How many questions did it turn off at??

I am a nurse, but I am licensed and work in Canada. When you do the CRNE (the canadian equivalent of the NCLEX) it can take between 9-12 WEEKS to get results (talk about torture)!!

I am writing the CNRE (Canadian equivalent of the NCLEX) this June! I am very excited to finish. I was looking online for jobs today – there is not alot available in the full-time realm right now. Lots of casual positions though. I guess I’ll take whatever I can get! I don’t want to start full-time until August anyway, but if I worked casual I could start right away and then just not be available for the wedding/honeymoon. What to do, what to do!

@Irwedd I think we may be long lost sisters, I am getting married Sept 4, 2010 I took the NCLEX 4 years ago and it stopped at 75 questions also! So glad to see other nurses on the board. I think the qualities that draw us to nursing are going to give us the tools to work hard  in our next endevours. Congrats on the NCLEX, 75 questions is a very positive sign. Let us know how it goes and welcome to the most amazing career, no one understands how it feels to affect lives in such a positive way.
