I’m also considering a platinum and rose gold (non pave) set so would be interested to see the replies ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a mixed metal set and I love it. Mine is 14k yellow and white gold. Not sure if you were looking specifically for platinum and gold sets? Although I know platinum is extremely durable so I wouldn’t worry about it holding up. Here’s my set:

I have a mixed metal set, white gold, rose gold twist spacer, and yellow gold solid band. I like the look of the different metal colors and it allows me to mix up my other jewelry.

If you’ve searched other threads about this I’m sure you’ve seen my set, but just in case I’ll post it anyway. Both my e ring and bands are 14k gold, though, so I have no experience with platinum

I am fan of mixing metals. No rules just have fun with it.
My Ering is rose gold I am currently stacking rose, white and yellow pave bands with it.

Oh, thank you for this thread, the mixed metals look so good!! Mine is being made right now by David Klass, it looks like 2 bands, a chevron that kind of intersects a straight leaf band, but it’s just 1 band. The chevron is platinum and the leaf is yellow gold. I can’t wait to see how it turned out!

hedgehog93 :  I technically do! Ering is 14k white gold shank with yellow gold head, wedding band is 14k white gold, engraved band is platinum with a thin inner layer of 22k yellow gold (obviously not visible in this photo). The engraved band is 107 years old and has held up really well over the years!

antoniathegreat :  I love, love, LOVE your sapphire. It’s gorgeous! (And so is your whole stack!)

I switch my sets out as the mood strikes me. (Been married a while, and I have a few speical rings.) I often mix metals.

This is what I’ve been enjoying for the past couple of days. It’s my original engagement ring (otherwise known as my “engagement ring” — ha, ha!) and my Dad’s wedding band. Engagement ring is set in 18K yellow gold, with platinum for the prongs on the center stone. The wedding band is my dad’s band. It’s 14K white gold.

And this is my 16th anniversary ring, which is set in platinum. I love the look of it with my yellow gold band. I can’t remember if it’s 14K or 10K.
