I did.  I mean- I was, I think.  I wore shoes made by Birkenstock and did my own hair.  I wore no makeup and got married on a Monday night.  It was just us.  I guess it depends what you mean, though!  🙂

My wedding is considered by most of our family and friends to be offbeat and non-traditional. But it’s because it’s not traditional for a wedding! It is, however, a very traditional cocktail party, at which we will happen to stop for a moment to exchange vows. 🙂

I think its awesome that all of you are doing your own thing!

Kudos to you guys.

In some other world I WISH i could pull off something like that because SO is very offbeat/untraditional, and it would be so cool and so fun however I have VERY involved traditional parents, so thats not happening.

Dont get me wrong, I’ll still be very happy with my beautiful “normal/traditonal” ceremony so that I can finally marry SO.

But I admire you gals for doing your thing! Very cool!

There’s nothing out there like authenticity and originality, nothing. And dont let anyone tell you different.

On mine is definatly offbeat and I love it. Short dress, no religion, Scott Pilgrim/500 days of summer Themed, Vidoe game and other pop culter (dinos, robots, and Mario, Oh my!) referances everywhere, Even comic book flowers.  I am making almost everything even the cupcakes. going to be small to med depending on how many people rsvp. and we are paying for everything. And what is best of all is the fact that the relationship is the thing over all that will be highlighted. Oh yeah and Kareoake!!!
