Curious to know what actually happens in a Pre-school enviroment. Im a little paranoid that I might be terrible at my new job ( Preschool TA ) so I hope that someone can comfort me. Im worried that I might do terrible– that it might be much harder that I expect.

In high school, I was a TA with kindergarten so not exactly the same but similar. Being a TA is pretty simple. You’re the teacher’s backup. If she needs something done and she can’t do it because she’s busy with a kid or something, it’s your job. While she’s explaining an activity to kids, you’re the one in the back setting up the materials.
It’s not that hard, I promise! A good teacher will be really helpful your first few weeks. After that, you’ll get the hang of it.

I’m a TA for a special ed class( 1st,2nd and 3rd grades) It’s alot harder than being a TA in a regular ed class.
In my class I’m 2 on 1. I over shadow everything they do. I have also been in a regular ed class TA. Basically you just help out with the kids ( put your coats here, get this out ) The teacher will most likely tell you what she wants you to do. And like you said there is more play time so it will prob. be just watching them to make sure they arent out of hand!
Good luck!! I loveee my job!
