Mr. LK and I did a day-after shoot this past weekend and it was a blast! We had hours to just be us and have some fun. I loved wearing my dress again. Hopefully we will get some really good photos from it.

My cousin did a “trash the dress” session and they had an absolute blast.  She said it was so much fun – she used a different, inexpensive dress and they rolled around on the beach and in the ocean.  The pictures were amazing and all of her favorites came from that session (instead of the wedding) because they were so much more relaxed and fun.

Good idea or great idea? You decide.

The only down side was we were FREAKING EXHAUSTED! (Day after the wedding, and we stayed up late and then met “early” at 8am the day after. Yuck!)

a friend of mine did her wedding pics the day after. they all got dolled up again and did pics that way they had more time, and guests didnt have to wait.

i am so against the TTD session. Its like saying your marriage meant nothing… my opinion anyways, although some pics are nice!!

@Eva Peron: No problem. I can’t wait to see how they turn out. We laid in a field, sat on a floating dock, traipsed through all sorts of stuff, and goofed off a lot. I’m also going to do a TTD session with 2 of my best friends who also got married this year. We won’t be shooting that until late spring because we want to do a beach session. I can’t wait to have some fun with my girlies in our dresses!

We were thinking about doing photos in our wedding attire on our 1-year anniversary but are not decided yet. I saw where Mrs. Star did this, but not sure if anyone else has ?

I’ve had friends do the photoshoot the day/week before the wedding to save time on the wedding day. I’ve had a friend who had photographer regret and booked an “encore” session with another photographer she fell in love with during her planning process. I love the idea of an encore session. What a great excuse to put your wedding dress back on and get all glammed up! I want to do this (with a different photographer than we used for the wedding), but the budget just isn’t there right now =(

@Eva Peron:LOL. yeah, all the up close photos BLOW because you can see the circles under our eyes, but we only bought the rights to 5 very beautiful postcard photos. Those were VERY worth it.   I actually slept in my makeup/hair and just retouched in the morning for photos. HI-larious. Washed my face when I got back from photos.

PS It was not a TTD session. My shoes did get pretty sandy though. Oops.

@nicolethegrrr8:Aww, sweet. I don’t think I’ll fit into mine after 1 year! 😛
