I know the feeling : Me and Fiance can only really afford a 4 day minimoon in Asheville, NC which is only 5 hours away. I REALLY wanted a sexy week long exotic beach vacay but unfortunately the money just aint there.

Gonna spice it up with a Bed and Breakfast stay and a food tour though (along with an assortment of cheap adventures)!

We’re going to Savannah for about four days, about an hour and a half from our wedding location, about four to five hours from where we live.  We wanted to have a week or two week long trip to Europe but we couldn’t afford it.  We’re also staying in a bed and breakfast and making sure we have plenty of good meals and sightsee a lot.

We got married on a Wednesday afternoon.  As I’ve said before, it was a totally last minute JoP ceremony.  We had 3 kids when we got married and, even though our parents took turns watching our kids, we really had no choice but to stay local for our long weekend honeymoon!  Thankfully, we live close to a huge tourist attraction, so we went to a cute little area nearby for our honeymoon.  Better than nothing, imo!

Yeaaaaa….it’s starting to look like we’re only going to be able to take a mini-moon. :-/

We’re thinking Napa Valley, CA since neither of us have been, we like wine and apprently it’s a

“romantic” place.

We’re going to D.C., which is about 2 hours for us from Saturday-Tuesday.  Then, we’ll finish out the week at our apartment.

At first I was a little bummed about not going somewhere exotic, but we’re not living together till we’re married, and FI’s roommate is only moving out about a week or two before our wedding.  So, it’ll give us several days to move stuff in, clean, set up our house and stuff.  I’m actually really, really looking forward to that now!
