@emnbeeee:

Hey,

I don’t actually remember, I don’t think she seperated it from the rest of the alterations, but it wasn’t a big deal because that’s the way that they shorten the dress (from the top). So instead of sowing it back on, she just added buttons. I would say the alterations were $350 (and I live in DC so everything is more expensive here). She had to take in a lot of the dress which I think was the most expensive part.

@AnnB:  Hey there,

I’m getting a Petunia in soon, and I was wondering where in DC you had your alterations done.  I’d love to work with someone who is familiar with this dress.

Thanks!

Hey all,

Has anyone else noticed how similar the Finisterre is to the Luna Novias Tenor? (http://www.lunanovias.com/2013/?portfolio=135-tenor&lang=en)

They’re nearly identical gowns. Are Pronovias and Luna Novias part of the same brand? I fell in love with the Tenor recently, but am wondering if there’s a difference in quality or price between the two brands given the similarity of the gowns.

Many thanks for your thoughts!

@clairec:  Hey Claire, I didn’t buy it yet but have been thinking a lot about it. Found it in a bridal store in Rochester, NY, as part of a 2013 trunk show. I think that means it was a preview of the season’s gowns, which will become regular stock some time in the near future.

@clairec:  DId you end up altering the Petunia to make the outer layer removable? I’m looking to alter the Petunia this week to either remove the second layer of tulle or to make the top layer removable for the reception. I would love to know how it turned out, and if the Petunia is just as easy to make these alterations to as the Finisterre was.

Would love to see pics too if you or anyone has any of Petunia alterations.

Thanks!!
