This dress is beautiful. I’m not a dress twin, but I couldn’t help having a little dress envy when I saw it

Hey ladies so i have a bit of a dilemma… I ordered the gown im optical white and the veil but the shop just called and said the veil doesn’t come in optical white. My wedding colors are white and peweter and i tend to look better in cooler tones also so i had my heart set on white. I didn’t hate the off white but im not sure i love it…what would you guys do?

Hello! I have absolutely and totally fallen in love with this dress but I am shocked by the price I saw listed above by one of you…Is it really only $1700?? It looks like a $5000 dress! Did you get it on sale or is this really the price? (In which case, I will be RUNNING to find it!)

If anyone can give me more information on the price, that would be great! I supposed I could call a boutique tomorrow but I find that rather intimidating. I wish they would list the prices on the official website 🙁

Thank you!

mmmason – I sent you a PM on pricing.

Also my veil problem has been solved. They found a very similar veil in optical white. I couldn’t believe how well priced the veil was too!! It was all detailed and beaded on the border!

Has anyone ordered this in Optical white? I did and I am hoping I still love it in  Optical white.

I wish I could post up my pics but I can’t seem to get them off my phone. Anyway I love this dress I just can’t wait for it to arrive in July!

I got the dress and thanks to DSquared, I got it for the same price! My maid of honor and I realized that if we hadn’t seen this site and told the people at the boutique (in Boston) that we saw others got it for $1700, they were going to try and sell it for $2200+! So thank you all and I’m so excited!!!!

@honeybear – I really love your choice too! Don’t worry I am sure that you will remember why you wanted that one as soon as it comes in. It’s gorgeous!

I can’t wait until I get my gown! I really want to know if anyone else decided on optical white.

I fell in love wit the Finisterre too, but my sister thought i look preggers with the pleats. Sure there is the mermaid silouette underneath, but as most of you know, it looks very empire and a-line  with the tulle overlay.

So, I am actually going with the La Sposa Denia which is very similar. The reason why I prefer the Denia is because they have a lace design underneath the bust instead of the pleats and I dont mind the sequins/cyrstals on the dress.

Now, what kind of veil. I was thinking fingertip since there is so much fabric to the dress or a simple flower.

@Suzen328- Hi – Yea I know what you mean it does tend to look more empire I am also having them tack down the front as someone else suggested. Do you have any photos of you with Denia? I wished I could have tried that one but I couldn’t find it. I think a long pronovias veil would be beautiful but so would a simple flower if you prefer. I just think for the ceremony a veil is dramatic and fun. I Love the way they look in pronovias ads.

Well I have to say I kind of wish I could’ve seen Denia in person!! I am a little disappointed now that I didn’t try harder to find it because I like the sequins.

wow there have been so many updates since I last checked up on this!

I don’t know if my answers will be able to help but I will do my best. My dress came in at the end of January and even though I haven’t been through any rounds of fittings, now I have a better idea of the fit.

1) length:  I am 5’4″ and the dress comes in one length, of course a crazy long one in my case, but it will have to be taken up a bit (not too much because my fiancé is considerably taller than I am and I need at least my 4 inch heels around him)

2) the color: that I know of there was no color choice, but I purchased a non-Pronovias one from the boutique when i ordered the dress to get a discount; it is an English tulle, chapel-length mantilla with lace around the edges (very old world with Spanish flair thanks to the mantilla comb which i personally love)

3) the pregnant-look: I didn’t experience this at all, the top layer laid completely flat on my stomach and I dont’ think it will have to be altered when the time comes.

4) last but not least, the hip issue: it is indeed a very tight mermaid silhouette underneath all that lace but in my case it was too big on the hips so I didn’t experience the bunching that I see some people talking about. I am very boy-shaped in case you couldn’t tell by the pictures, so I got the dress in the smallest size available which luckily implied that it would be a little large in the hip area. that might be a good solution for anyone who is afraid of this problem since it would be easier to tailor that area which has less fabric.

well i’ve said a mouthful so if I rambled a bit and confused some…I’ll be checking in more frequently to stay with the times!
