@GrayGirl: I thought this would be an issue but it wasn’t.  I didn’t have a ton of people watching me but it usually makes me nervous.  My aisle was very long though so I had a lot of time to just talk to my brother while we walked.  And I stepped on my dress slightly and almost fell on my face walking up the stairs to the gazebo but I just laughed it off.  Oddly enough, once I started walking, nothing made me stressed out, frustrated, nervous, or embarrassed the rest of the time.

ETA: Also, our ceremony was in a park and two dogs on two separate occasions came close to me but that didn’t even really concern me.  The best advice I can give is to realize what I did once things started.  At that point, what happens will happen.  Have fun and go with the flow unless it’s something completely detrimental.

Everyone gets a little nervous – it’s a big day!

But instead of focusing on what could happen, focus on what you know will happen – you will be walking to him and you’ll be getting MARRIED!

Yes, your guests and bridal party will be watching you, but they will only all be thinking how beautiful you look as a bride and how excited they are for your wedding.

Take a deep breath and enjoy every second of that walk 🙂

@GrayGirl:

I was too!

But on the day of I just told my brother to hold on tight and not let me fall flat on my face. Concentrated on my husband’s eyes and just walked. 🙂
