Not on Marco Island, but Sanibel (if you rent a car… I am pretty sure they’re close together?)… Mucky Duck is a fun islandy-casual place on the beach that’s great for lunch!  Food is yummy, service is friendly & fun and the views are beautiful!!  Have so much fun 🙂 xo

I’ve been going to Marco Island with my family once a year since birth — I absolutely love it there. We have a timeshare condo down there, so I can’t help you with places to stay (there are LOTS of timeshared condos, though, so you might want to check out a site like http://tug2.net/ for rentals — that’s where we post, even though it looks a little sketch!).

As far as places to eat, there are tons of resturants that are forever changing, but I will give you my best experiences from the last time I was in town…

For a really upscale meal, check out Verdi’s American Bistro. You’ll need to make an reservation way in advance (like, a couple weeks, if you can!) because the secret of this place it out. This is a must whenever I’m in Marco.

Another nicer place is Arturo’s. Upscale, good.

For more of a fun bar feel, Stan’s & Rookie’s are both favorites. Dolphin is another “local flavor” bar that is just a fun time.

Some of my favorites have lost themselves in their popularity, but still might be worth it to try: Snook’s and Konrad’s are two that have lost their luster for me, but are always packed!

Hope you have a great time! Love it down there!
