ok,

1. Can I borrow your friends, PLEASE

2. Do you want it in italian or english?

-either way, I would totally go with ‘The Prayer’ OR ‘You raise me up’

What about con te partiro? Contemporary, but beautiful.

@brklynmmbb: Ahhhh… you’re right.  I would suggest going to Grooveshark and listening to a few Il Divo and Josh Groban tracks then.  That might help you think of something.

Have you asked them for suggestions?  My sister is an opera singer and could easily name a few gorgeous duets.  I’m guessing, if your friends are classically trained, they could do the same.

If they can’t offer any reccomendations, I’ll pass this on to my sister and get her advice.

Omigoodness how did I not see this! I AM an opera singer. 😉

You should totally ask them for recommendations. Josh Groban is fine and dandy but there SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC has been written in the classical world! Too much to settle for some popera from the last few years.

What will they be singing during? Processional? Unity candle? Just some pretty music?

@brklynmmbb: Handel’s “Where’er You Walk” is beautiful … I’d stick to the baroque symphonies and operas because they are well known, and generally light and whimsical.
