I bought my wedding dress online from lilywedding.com

I got mine from thebridalshop.com and it went very well.  However, I recommend that you call them up and speak to them before you order to make sure you get any questions answered, confirm that the dress will come with a certificate of authenticity, and just get the reassurance of speaking to a real person.

I know it made me feel a lot more comfortable than making such a hugely important purchase using only the faceless internet.  🙂

If you have already tried on the same dress at a local shop by same designer and same style, I’d go for it.

One of my bff’s did this and she saved several hundred dollars.  I just went along for the ride and watched her.  She didn’t mean to do that though.  She went into the salon and tried on several gowns and made careful notes in her planner, and then went to several other salons and did the same.  Afterwards we went to a late lunch and discussed it.  She later that night did a search and found a site online and the SAME dress she loved for quite a bit less.  She ordered it and of course it fit great.

I also think you should do as the other poster suggested (good idea!) and as a safeguard, contact the company (online) directly and call them to confirm their authenticity and sizes and RETURN policy if it’s damaged in some way.

I am another bride that ordered my dress online after trying it on in a shop.  I ordered it from an ebay seller (sorry i can’t remember who) and saved $500.  The dress is beautiful and came with a certificate of authencity.

I ordered my dress online and saved $350.00 compared to the bridal salon that I found it in. The only problem is that if your on a time restriction it may be a problem.  It is going to take 5 months before the dress arrives. If interested I ordered mine from Bridalgown.net. Good Luck
