WannaBeeMrs:  I found a ring receipt while putting away his clothes one day. Total cliche, it was in his sock drawer haha. I played it cool, never said anything. To this day I still haven’t, until now. Hehe. Try not to stress too much, but Yay! It’s coming soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

WannaBeeMrs:  Yep.  I accidentally saw email correspondence between him & his sales lady at Tiffany.  I only saw the subject line, not the body of the message and I couldn’t see the senders address either. Tiffany was in the subject line, I called my BFF & told her, she said he was obviously buying me a ring and I said, well I dunno, maybe it’s something else regarding a person named Tiffany?  I knew I was kidding myself though.

I knew, I didn’t want to know, but I did.  At the time I was disappointed that something had been ruined, that I knew too much.  But in retrospect I don’t know if it mattered that much or not.  When he did propose I knew for several hours that he was about to, I could just tell by his nerves.  So it felt kinda surreal I guess.

I never told him I saw that email or had any clue at all and I never will.

Early congrats to you!  This is an exciting time.

My boyfriend’s proposing tomorrow at our favorite spot at the top of a waterfall in a state park ๐Ÿ˜‰ He’s using his mom’s e-ring for my e-ring so she accidently spilled the beans when she told him she found the ring right in front of me and she later spilled the rest of the details and probably didn’t even realize she spilled all of them hahaha I’m going to try so hard to act surprised ๐Ÿ˜€

winterwoodlandbride15:  OMG! That is exactly where I found the credit card receipt for my ring. Darling Husband had it for a whole year before he proposed. And yes, I told him that I knew about it since such-and-such date and it was driving me bat shit crazy! We had already been together for 4 years. It was another 2 1/2 before we actually got married.

It has been 19 years since we started dating and married for 13 in July! He still tries to surprise me and knows it bugs the crap out of me.

My sister had been stalking e-bay the bidding was ending soon and she liked to follow them to see what they went for.  Later she looks and there’s some messages…she had bought the ring. .lol. it wasn’t her though it was her fi. Shared computer, the eBay account in his name..etc.

She called me right away. She was laughing so hard and damn did she stalk the mail. He got an awesome deal. Of course my sister is impatient and didn’t wait for a proposal and when it came in the mail she grabbed it..lol.

Hahaha thank you, congrats to you too. I think even though I know I’ll probably be crying and smiling so much it hurts. I think you’ll be great too, and at least you don’t know exactly when he’s going to pop the question too lol I think that’s the biggest disappointment for me lol

We are long distance, so when he picked me up from the airport I was looking through the pictures on his phone and saw a photo of the ring! I closed the app and threw his phone down- didn’t play it cool at all but thankfully he was oblivious to my freak out. When he finally proposed three months later (that was torture!) I confessed that I saw the picture- he was so mad that ye wasn’t as sneaky as he thought he was ๐Ÿ™‚

We are also long distance for now and he came to visit me for the first time, and the first morning, as he was in the shower, I went through his suitcase to see if he’d brought any shirts that needed to be hung up. As I opened it, I felt something heavy in the external pocket slide down, so me being the incorrigible snoop that I am, I felt for the object from the inside (in case it was a ring box, I didn’t want to blatantly look for it) and it definitely was a little cubic item. I ended up peeking and it was a ring box! I figured he’d ask me at some point that week since we had some fun nights out planned, but as the most romantic one came and went, I started to think that maybe it was not a ring but rather some other Christmas or early birthday present (I later found out that he had just forgotten it at home that night, lol). As his departure drew nearer, I couldn’t take it anymore and I finally opened the box only to find the ring, which he then proposed to me with that same night! If I had held out 12 hours longer…I was definitely still surprised and excited when he asked, but he knew within a second that I had found it. It was only a symbolic and temporary ring since it’s just higher-end fashion jewelry and he wants me to pick out my own (I’m very picky), but the whole scenario was just too funny. He wasn’t even mad that snooped.

WannaBeeMrs:  Didn’t accidentally, I knew, we ordered it together, I think that was even worse than faking I didn’t know, becuase that’s all I wanted to talk about!  I think I talked my mom’s ear off when it was ordered and when it arrived.

I accidentally found a clear-stone ring picture on his phone a while ago… and he had been dropping serious hints about me getting a ring as a present… but suddenly the hints have stopped and we are now more than a week past the timeline he was talking about for me getting “my present”. I don’t know if maybe he realized that it wouldn’t make sense to give me a perfectly suitable e-ring as a just-because present when we’ll probably be looking at engagement within the next two years, or if something else happened. He’s not a planner and he’s typically very straightforward so the whole situation is unusual. It’s a fun little mystery but I will be SO happy when I learn what is going on!!
