HUbs got my ering without me knowing, so I ended up with diamonds. I love it, and have decided that I will get a wedding band made with diamonds (hubs birthstone) and blue topaz (my birthstone) to go with it. Right now, I just have a stand in band until we can afford to have the band made that i want

@MrsSl82be: Have you looked at gemvara.com? I found their prices to be pretty reasonable.

@NoaMarijn: I adore the shape of that. So beautiful! I would love that in a red or bright green or even a black gemstone.

I have a colored diamond, so do I get to be in the diamond club as well as the colored gemstone club? :-). Or does “gemstone” already include diamond, too?

You should do a search of the MANY colored stone e-rings on this site. I love colored gemstones and debated what I wanted for quite some time.
I eventually chose a yellow sapphire.
*Sorry so big!*

@kerensa:Fabulous point! Like I said I’m not against diamonds (I’m sort of biased after watching blood diamond) ; but I do like them, I just personally like colored stones. I just couldn’t believe the judgement we received when people found out, that I don’t want a diamond center stone! Everyone makes such a big deal about the ring itself; ‘Uh hello?! Ring or no ring, we’re commiting to each other for the REST of our lives, that should be the most exciting part’! Anyway, thanks for bringing that to my attention!

@MrsSl82be: That’s really sweet that you’re going to combine both of your birthstone’s in your band! I like that idea!

@peaches13: That’s really beautiful! Blue sapphire is my birthstone! It is nice that you can get a better quality, even bigger colored stone, for a better price; than a smaller less flawless diamond; But kuddos to all the diamond girls too, I’m not here to hate! Thanks for posting your ring, it’s really unique and gorgeous!

@cardus:Your orange sapphire is really beautiful! I agree that it’s not all about the ring, it’s what it represents; I just wanted to see that there were other bee’s who had or want colored center stones! Thank you for posting!
