Hello! I am 24 and am two weeks out from graduating with my Bachelors! College has been a bumpy ride, with semesters of going to school part time while working 80 hour weeks, taking 21 credits while working three jobs, and taking 6 credits because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. Now that I am getting close to the end, I cannot wrap my head around it! I have been in college for six years, took finals for 18 credits the week of my wedding, and done homework at the hospital while waiting for my dad to come out of an open heart surgery for a heart attack. I feel like I haven’t actually relaxed in years, since I always know something else is going to be due, or I need to file my FAFSA or order books, or pick classes for next semester. I don’t even know what it will be like to not have anything to do, I can’t wrap my head around it. Anyone else experiencing this?
I tried looking it up, but all I could find was people who wanted to stay in school because the real world is scary… uhh, what? I am SO ready! I am lucky enough to have job already, and I am looking forward to relaxing and enjoying December with family and friends, without looming finals or spring semester! WOO HOO!
P.S. Sorry for this choppy writing and grammar, I just finished a 12 page paper, and my brain is fried!

Congrats!! How exciting! You must be very proud! Hopefully you will do something fun to celebrate a hard earned achivement.
I am a bit older but I finish my Graduate Degree in a few weeks. TBH- I was going to skip my graduation but after completing my Professional Paper and purchasing my robes I teared up a bit. I love my job, it is not related to my degree but fits my undergrad degree and background. It is so nice to have a steady paycheck, to fully ‘adult’ again.
Wishing you the best in the next chapter of your life!

That’s awesome!! I can’t wait until I’m done. I’m getting married in March so I’m taking my next semester light. Which puts me a little behind but I’ll be done next spring 2018.
21 credits during your wedding must have been Crazy!! Congratulations I bet it feels amazing to be done. Good luck to you!

I feel the exact same way you do! I just graduated with my bachelor’s degree this past Saturday. My last final was over a week ago and since then I’ve almost been having an existential crisis lol. Like you, I always seemed to have something else to do once I finished an exam or assignment, to not have anything further to do was mind-boggling and honestly a little unsettling. I have spent my (immense) free time applying for jobs, cleaning/packing my apartment, and catching up on ALL THE NETFLIX! I hope to have a full-time job soon as I don’t like sitting around not doing anything productive. I have picked up a part-time job substitute teaching in my local school district so that will at least give me an excuse to get out of the house every now and again. Best of luck, Bee and congratulations! 🙂
