I love, love, love the cookie bar idea. Since my wedding is outside all my cookies are all very light. Like shortbreads and sugar cookies but a lot of them use things like lavendar, lemon and other light flavors. Here is how I want to display them but there will be no candy, just cookies.

I’m not from PA or OH, but I am Italian so cookies are deff expected at the wedding. Mmmmm, I go for the cookies before I even think about the cake at weddings. There is an awesome bakery near us and I just love, love, love their cookies and cannolis. We’re not doing a cookie table, but instead are having a platter of mixed cookies/italian pastries at each table.

Our venue coordinator was a little confused and was trying to talk us out of it… “No one will even notice if you don’t have cookies”… My father very sternly told him, “Oh believe, these folks WILL notice!!” 😀

I was wonderering how to incorporate my FI’s mother’s cookins into our wedding. Before we signed the contract for our venue I made sure they would allow us to give guests his mother’s cookies. She makes a huge batch of different kinds for him every holiday and his birthday. I thought it would be a nice way to include her.

I never thought of a whole cookie table. I can have our enue make cookies nad add it to hers. I think I will also include milk and maybe add flavors such as chocolate and straberry for chocolate nad strawberry milk.
