I think it looks great and I want to wear mine the entire reception, as well πŸ™‚

I would love to wear mine the whole day, too! It’s the only day on my whole life I’ll be able to wear a veil, so I want to milk it! But mine is cathedral length so I don’t think that would work.

Although I HAVE heard of bustling a veil… o_0

I love the veil below the bun!  If you take it out I’d worry that It might undo the bun in the process depending on how it’s all pinnned up.

I wore mine all night and it didn’t bother me, it was pinned at the top of my head with my hair half-up/half-down.  My BFF/MOH wore her’s like your idea and took hers out ASAP at the reception but she said people kept tugging on it during pictures and hugs after the ceremony.

I didn’t have the same problem as her and am not sure if it’s because of the way it was pinned up.  Either way, wear it until you don’t want to anymore!

EDIT: Mine was fingertip-length, that would definitely make a difference!

That was my hair inspiration too. I wore my veil above the bun. I had intended on taking it out, but I forgot about it lol. It didn’t get pulled on nearly as much as I thought it would! I had a fingertip length one-tier veil.

I had planned to take mine off after the ceremony/pictures, but I ended up leaving it on for most of the reception. I felt so “bridal” with it on and it looks great in our first dance pics πŸ™‚

After dinner/hugging everyone/dancing it started to get in the way so I took it off.

@Janaic88:  Ooh, that is gorgeous! My veil is plain, but now I’m thinking I should add flowers like that because it looks amazing when bustled!

Me. I’m not taking it off. I’m keeping that sucker on the whole day.

I loved the feel and look of my veil!

I kept it on all night, until the dancing.

It did keep catching on my dress when people hugged me, but I adapted my hug style so that didn’t happen, haha.

I took it off for the father/daughter or first dances since I wanted to enjoy those moments and not worry about it getting caught.

Rock it! It’s the only day you’ll be able to wear one, so why not keep it on if you want to? πŸ™‚

Well, I didn’t wear one at all (not a veil person), but my close friend had one similar to the one posted with almost that exact hair style and she wore it all night. It looked really great and you knew she felt great in it. Go for it!

I had a two piece veil one that went under my bun and the other went over the bun and covered my face. I removed the top one and left the bottom one in the whole night.
