I am not a pastel person, so my color was royal blue with tropical color flowers.  We used blue and white sea glass in our centerpieces with shells, our tables were named for wrecks we dive and were mostly blue due to being pictures we took.

We decided to start with blue. My adult bridesmaids wore a cobalt blue and my husband’s and best mans tie were that colour. My flower girls had an ice blue and Ivory dress, somehow I managed to get the other ushers and my dads ties to match the icy blue – so that it vaguely looked coordinated although by that point we were just generally going with shades of blue.

I’m not a huge fan of roses or dyed blue flowers. So I originally wanted blue iris in my bouquet. They’re in season when we got married too so made it cheaper. With the flecks of yellow in the iris I asked the florist to put some yellow sunflowers in the bouquet and generally make a bright spring time bouquet. On the day of the wedding the iris were purple not blue so we actually ended up with two shades of blue, two shades of purple and a couple of shades of yellow with lots of green thrown in for good measure.

This picture is a close up of the bouquet my bridesmaids were carrying, the blue in the background is her dress but it was lighter in person.

We have bright colors! Everyone thinks I’m absolutely crazy when I describe the look we’re going for but it’s not that overwhelming I promise- we’re doing a tropical boho kind of look. Imagine you’re traveling to a bunch of islands and stumble on a busy flea market. So we’ll have lots of vintage maps, globes, and suitcases with tangerine, hot pink, and turquoise florals and touches.

Here’s the inspo pics:
