Ten days to go.  Not super chill, but not as stressed as I was a few months ago!  There are little things here and there, but then I’m fine.  I think I’m more nervous about the wedding night right now 😳

I’m getting married in less than three months but in a not so traditional way, so I’m pretty chill over here. Only thing that is stressing me out a bit is that people are being slow AF to RSVP to our reception/celebration/party/whatever you want to call it, although most people have given us a verbal RSVP.

The last friend of mine who got married was really laid back, our friend who was officiating turned up missing day of the wedding and I’ve never seen her more calm (we found him after he got out of the hospital for stitches to the face).

Hopefully I remain calm leading up to and throughout our 2 day wedding celebration!

I was told I was the most chill bride. Only a few things bugged me, and even then I didn’t make them a huge deal.

Nope I’m OCD and planning the crap out of everything. I don’t feel like I’m a bridezilla and my FH is the type to call me on it. I’m hoping being organized, coordinated and planning everything with back up plans will mean I can relax and enjoy the day before and day of the wedding.

I will probably be a ball of stress and planning anxiety until I clear American customs and get on the plane to Vegas for the wedding. Once I’m there I just want to relax, have fun and get married looking pretty. My FHs go to phrase for me is proper planning, prevents piss poor performance. So I’m doing the proper planning.

I am abnormally calm so much so that my friends are like are you ok?  Is everything alright and I’m like, what can you do.  I am just rolling with it.

glutton: There’s an awesome podcast called BrideChilla, you should look it up!  I love listening to her, she is so calm, and her accent is great, no to mention all the wonderful wedding advice she dishes out!

My mom was a maniac. And I was all “sit down. Have a glass of wine. Let’s relax”

I swear, if looks could kill. I’d be dead right now πŸ˜‚

juneweddingbee :  I’m sure shit will get real nearer the time but I’ve been engaged since Nov 17 and I’m getting married March 19 and everything is planned pretty much. People keep asking me how planning is going and I’m like yeah..  Its done. Lol

juneweddingbee :  I was! I never enjoyed wedding planning and in the end I was so “meh” about the hosting part – I just wanted to marry my dh and party with our friends and family!

I stopped stressing about details, like I painted my own toes on the morning, and did a crappy job, I couldn’t be bothered finding a cake topper, we winged the ceremony without a rehearsal etc. On the day most things went smoothly, some didnt but it was a great day and every day one had a great time and people only want to be fed watered and watch you get married!

So chill. 5 weeks to go and I’m over here waiting for the panic to start. I’m not typically a chill person, but I’ve been uncharacteristicically calm the entire engagement. I’m just ready for all of the wedding activities to begin!
